A month or so ago, I came on here asking for wisdom on the upcoming HSG I had- the sincerest of thank yous to all that replied. One of the findings was a mass (or something. They don't know what) in my uterus. So tomorrow morning I'm going for a hysteroscopy. Any experiences? I'm feeling very anxious. Someone tell me it's not awful, please. I should have posted this earlier than 11 hours before my appointment.
I've had a couple. I remember absolutely nothing remarkable about them so it wasn't too bad. I DO remember I had to cough on purpose to get the water out of my ute which was kind of an odd feeling. I was awake the entire time.
I had one to remove an IUD that didn't want to come out and I was not put under for it. It was not bad at all, just weird really. The only thing that really sticks out is that the doctor was super excited and kept wanting me to look at the monitor. No thanks dude, I really don't need to know what the inside of my uterus looks like.
Had one couple of months ago to remove a small polyp. They did mine with anesthesia so I was out the whole time. Worst part was probably having the iv put in my arm. Afterwards very mild cramping that went away quickly and spotting for two days. They recommended rest on the day of the procedure and Tylenol for any cramping or pain. I felt fine by the time I got home. It really wasn't bad at all.
And they even shared a before and after photo with and without polyp.
Thank you guys for sharing your experiences. I won't be put under. This one he'll just be using the camera to see what it is that they saw on the HSG. I hope it's nothing. It's frustrating because we're having to TTA this month and I assume if it has to be removed, that will have us out another month.
