I don't think I've ever been to a campground resort with a spa. Actually, if we are doing a camping weekend, I don't want the resort stuff b/c it just means more people. I just want a clean, well lit bathroom and easy access to trails and/or swimming.
I loved my yosemite camping experiences - not fulling camping, platform tents w/ beds, but it was just such a neat experience. I'd love to stay at the hotels there, but at peak seasons the hotels were mostly booked or were over $500/night. There was something cool about all of these families there at the same time, visiting one of our country's best treasures. But, I love national parks and all the feels I get when there.
That said, I don't ever remember getting dirty while camping or even have that many bugs or being sweaty or gross, at least no more than any other day spent outside. I'm talking about car camping, not hiking in miles without toilets.
You'd love this, Amy, my sister is with her H & daughter AND dog at Ft. Wilderness in Disney. They drove their camper trailer all the way down from Hershey. So, July in Disney World is bad enough w/ heat, rain & crowds. Add camping in your own trailer? Nope.

I love camping but id rather kill myself than do that. Nope nope nope.
They planned the whole thing 2 weeks before they left, so no good reservations, fast passes, etc. She already complained that there was a inner resort bus plus the regular busses, which I had actually told her about.
