While running to catch the bus yesterday after work I fell. I twisted my ankle, slammed my shoulder into the ground, and bloody up my knee. I probably shouldn't have gone to the gym this morning because my should still hurts.
EDIT - Forgot to add... We had our weekly lunch & Learn this afternoon. The company conducting the L&L orders the lunch and has it delivered. The lunch was late and one of my co-workers walks into the conference room after she was greeted by the presenter she says, "Oh, this is the L&L?" "I thought there was food provided." WTF, you don't you just come out and say, "Ya, I don't give a shit about your presentation, I just wanted free food."
I had a coworker who had no idea what BCC was. She sent one email and copied multiple patients. We had oodles of fun cleaning up after that HIPAA violation.

My quiet summer here at work just got erased. In the last week I've picked up 2 new quick turn projects, plus a long-term planning for next year for one client.
And today I got put on a project for another client that has a $3M+ budget for just operations cost. We haven't even quoted out the digital portion yet. But the pitch deck was... ambitious.
There goes my late summer and fall. :S
In other news, I'm looking at various canopy fabric options for our deck and can't decide. I may have to go see them in person.

So far everything at the new house has been great, except I think we're going to have to get cable. We have an antenna for local channels and a Roku.
We cannot pick up ABC, and then the other channels go in and out. I've checked the website thsf cells you reception for the address, and ABC doesn't even come up.
It's not a huge deal, but I was hoping not to have to get it.

1. What did we do without the Internet/Google? Last night I needed tomato sauce for a recipe, but didn't have any. Within two seconds Bing told me I could add water to tomato paste and mix to get tomato sauce. (1 to 1 ratio)
2. Has anyone discovered a way to not tear up when cutting onions? I swear, I'm going to get those onion googles. My fade is a wet mess, by the time I'm done cutting them.
I just had to show a new admin assistant at our office how to send a BCC email to multiple people.
Fix it Jesus.
HTF did she get a job? I'm going on month 29 of unemployment and this idiot gets hired and I cant even get someone to look at my resume. WTF!?!?!?!
Believe me, I'm asking these questions daily. I know there are capable people out there who don't need their hand held to scan a document or create a hyperlink.

I wear glasses and only have issues if its a really potent onion. Most of the time I can cut one up and there are no tears involved. Not sure if my glasses are acting as a barrier or if we just luck out and get really mild onions.
I just received my first pay check with part time hours but also with the raise I got on 7/1 and it isn't nearly as painful as I thought it would be. It hurts but I'll survive for the summer. :-)

Leave the 'core' intact. I cut off all the sides and leave the base to the stem (or where the plant would sprout from) in a rectangle cuboid. I know it's related to not cutting the base or the stem off, but I can't ever remember which, so I leave the whole core uncut.

We have a French language group here. They usually wear berets. It reminds me of that "finer things club" from The Office and i can't stop giggling when i see it.

This might not be good advice from an onion integrity standpoint, but i don't tear up if i put the onion in the fridge for like an hour before i need to cut it.

This, I keep onions in the fridge full time and don't have problems.

I keep mine in the fridge all of the time. I know that's not the "right" storage, but o do it in hopes of staving off the tears

1. I have no idea. One time my son crushed silly putty into his hand-knitted, irreplaceable special blankie. Google helped me get it all out-- it was amazing. Pre-google the blanket would have been permanently ruined.
2. I wear contacts, which seem to protect my eye. I never cry, unless I try to cut them up for a crockpot recipe first thing in the morning when I'm still wearing my glasses. This is probably not helpful.

I start off with my glasses, but then have to take tjem off, because they get wet, and I can't see.
