I learned that Oregon gas stations have attendants when on a road trip in college with a Portland-native friend. I got out of the car to pump, and she had to explain to me like three times what was going on. I also have a problem of feeling compelled to say thank you profusely to anyone who helps me as part of their job. So it was awkward.
I think I'd cry if they took it away. There was talks of getting rid of the law and I'm like these a-holes are gonna get out of the car when it's 2degrees to pump gas? They can barely roll down the window to tell them how much. I love this law & I love NJ. Someone gavel this. Over and done with.
