So when I left the salon last night the sun was shining into the windows so brightly that everything was very shiny and even looking. I knew my hair looked NOTHING like my example picture, but I didn't realize it was legitimately botched until I got home and looked at it again this morning. I am very disappointed and hope the person can fix it. My husband laughed and said I look like I just dipped half my head in dye.
Here is what I asked for:
Here is what I ended up with (excuse bad pictures, my H just snapped them quickly):
Oh no! That's so frustrating. It doesn't look terrible in the pictures, but it definitely doesn't look like the inspiration picture. Do you think the person who did it will be able to fix it? You might be better off finding someone else if the person you saw last night doesn't know what they're doing.

Oh no. Im so sorry you had that happen. I would definitely see about someone correcting it. The inspiration picture has the blond and darker areas more blended/less of a "roots really grown out" look. unlike what your hair dresser did.
In the profile shot you reminded me of the actress Alexandra Daddario for a second. Sorry they didn't do your hair the way you asked. I would also consider having a different stylist fix it, as katespade mentioned.

I'm really sorry you didn't get what you want, getting a botched hair job is soooo frustrating! Did you go back yet to ask about fixing it? It does look like she just didn't do anything with the top half and colored the bottom half.

Ugh I'm sorry! The inspiration pic is gorgeous. I feel like Ombre looks easy, but is actually hard to do. It has to be perfectly imperfect. I also think it looks better with curls. I have straight hair and feel like it would just look like I have bad roots.
The same thing happened to me a couple years ago. My stylist was able to fix it by pulling through streaks of darker brown. It looked so much better after. She didn't charge me, but I tipped her really well for fixing it and quickly.
That's so frustrating, but it looks like it will be a relatively easy fix, just adding some of the lighter color to highlighted pieces throughout the top. I hope you get it resolved quickly!
