You are like my boss. She NEVER feels them. Our whole building will shake and she feels nothing.
I was in the bay area for the loma prieta quake in '89. (The 6.9 quake during the world series which knocked down freeways and a portion of the bay bridge). I felt nothing.
That's insane. I was a kid when it happened and lived in a suburb of Sacramento and totally felt it there. I mean, not major shaking but I was watching tv after school and the chair I was sitting in went all wobbly.

That is impressive. I remember the ground doing a full on rolling thing during the 2001 6.8 Nisqually earthquake. It was infuckingsane.
My mom was driving me to a dentist appointment at the time. Whatever we did feel, I thought it was her driving. lol. The dentist's office was buzzing about it but I thought they were exaggerating until we drove home and I could see the plume of smoke rising from the Marina district.
I am pretty earthquake blind, though (to quote stella). I have terrible balance and get motion sick easily. I wonder if they are all related.

I was up in Vancouver that day. We couldn't feel it, but my friends and I saw the lights swaying back and forth at the restaurant we were at.
Apparently we've had several quakes felt in PA. The only one I've felt was the one in 2011 that hit DC. I was on the 6th floor of our building at work, and yeah, the floor and walls shook. It wasn't much, but it was disorienting as fuck.
This is what dh said. He said you're just chilling in your office, then you don't feel much but you get all unsettled and disoriented for a minute. Then everyone yells into the hall "did you feel that earthquake?". Heh.

I remember that one. Our office was on the second floor (over a 6 story parking garage) and the ceiling lights in our office started swaying slightly which is how most of us noticed it. It lasted less than a minute but it was really freaky.
