After seeing the impressive work that rosesandpetals has done, and in another thread, some of you mentioned that you can sew, I'm interested in hearing what other skills and hobbies other people have. Is there a project that you have completed that you are proud of or what is going to be the next project you plan to tackle. Don't be afraid to post a picture to show off your skills.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

Lol. I use to have hobbies...and skills...now I'm happy if I can sleep. Although maybe later I'll aw my freezer. I've been working hard to put together some freezer meals.

I am totally AW-ing because I am closing in on a project that has been like a year in the works. It may be the cutest thing I have ever sewn.
I am using an old drafting table of DH's for a playhouse for the kids.
This is the front, and will hang down over the front of the table. There will be a roof piece that covers the angled top of the table and hooks to the wall behind it.
Now we're inside. This is on the wall opposite the door.

Pillows will go under this window. I'm not sure how much will actually show...I might add some birds or something. A cozy fire across from the window. This may have crossed the line to ridiculous. A family portrait for above the fireplace. I even managed to make DS' crazy spiky hair.
So, yeah, I sew. Quilts, clothes, home dec stuff, and ridiculous felt creations.

These also turned out pretty awesome. The kids' Halloween costumes this year. DS HATED his, but it was still adorable. DD is still wearing hers on a pretty regular basis.
I enjoy building stuff out of wood. I guess the stuff I build has a rustic/western style. I've built toy boxes, tv stands, picture frames, our bathroom vanity, our bedroom furniture set, that kind of stuff.
I was proud of myself for having 1 freezer meal but now I realize how pathetic I am.
Thanks I've just up quite a repertoire over the years and it works so well for me during the school year. I just bought a bigger freezer so I have plans for about 24 more meals before I head back to work.
I sew as well. I'm currently working on a new pool/beach/picnic blanket.
I haven't done much recently, too busy. I'm already thinking about this year's Halloween costumes. I have requests from each girl to be Mary Poppins but in different costumes. (one in the white fancy dress, one in the traditional nanny outfit)
Currently my biggest super power is going to the pool every day with kids.
No, I just read a few tutorials that were similar to what I wanted. I am using the laminated cotton type stuff from Ikea for the bottom layer and using up scraps I have for the top. I haven't decided whether to just stitch it all wrong sided & turn it out or bind it like a quilt. I will probably add some kind of carrying straps.
A lot of people made super easy ones by using 2 tablecloths, one plastic & one fabric, just sew them together!

That's awesome! Since roses mentioned Anna White this weekend I have been pinning her plans for all sorts of stuff! We will see if I can actually make any of it.
I can't PIP unless someone teaches me. Over the last few weeks my mom and I have been canning tons of jam/preserves.
Blueberry jam Applesauce Mixed berry preserves Fig Preseves Ginger Fig preserves Peach jam Habanero Peach Habanero Gold Pepper Jelly I think this week we are doing tomatoes.
