Have/would you participate in the Nielsen tv ratings?

We had a door hanger the other day offering for us to be part of the Nielsen ratings. I can't decide if I wanna do it or not. There doesn't seem to be a huge disadvantage other than making time for an installation guy to come by and set it up. We don't watch a ton of satellite though, mostly Netflix. Would you do it?

My family did it when I was a kid. We had to use a journal and document our tv habits. We each got 5 bucks to participate. lol

I'd do it again, I think. It was kind of fun.

I did it about a year ago! I was super geeked out about it, and DH was like "who are these people that keep sending you cash in the mail?"

I had to fill out a little notebook, and they gave me like $30? I forget how much. They were really crisp, new bills, like what my grandma used to pass out at Christmas. Lol.

We've done it twice. It's kind of a huge pain in the ass because you have to log in 5 minute increments (so if you change channels to see what's on or to skip commercials, you're supposed to log it). It also made me feel guilty for how much the tv is on.

Oh I have to like, do stuff? Lol. I was hoping I could just watch more tv and the dolla dolla bills would start rolling in. Why can this never happen for me?? Maybe I'll do it. It does sound kinda fun.
Trashy reality tv show ratings are about to go up! Teen mom is never going away with me on the case!

Fuck yeah! It would be a lot of pressure though. Like I'd have to only watch quality stuff and H would have to go somewhere else to watch his crappy shows like Bachelor in Paradise.

We've done it once. It was easy because we don't watch tv. We told them that in advance and they said it doesn't matter.
They put a card in your door? That seems odd because they mailed all the correspondence to us. It might be different in different areas but I wonder if that is some sort of scam.

We did this about 3 years ago. I think we got up to about $50 eventually for completing a booklet. We weren't big TV watchers. I'd do it again just for kicks.

Edit: wait, they are coming to your house?! We just did by mail.

I got something from the Nielsen people recently! And was SO EXCITED. And then they wanted me to wear some device 24/7 to monitor what songs I hear. No fucking way.

At least I got $15 for filling out surveys?

Please tell me how you did this. Haha. He did say he'll send the tech with an extra $50 and mail us $50 in a couple weeks. Lol. 
Hes at our house asking us survey questions. He's talking about his lds mission in brazil and recognized our vaguely religious painting on the wall so I'm oddly comforted by that. Haha. Ok it might be the $100 comforting me.

I did it in college. It had a receiver and its own remote that we had to use (like we couldn't use the tv without using the receiver). It was a hassle.

Hells yes. I think that just might be my dream come true. I am true TV addict. I love TV. And someone to pay me (a pittance, but whatevs) and/or give me TV-related gifts, damn, that's died-and-gone-to-heaven territory.

My friend is a recruiter of theirs and I am FASCINATED by her job.

So apparently there's this crazy matrix that comes up with THE house that Nielsen wants. If she can snag that house then she gets all kinds of bonuses. The bonuses decrease if the house you can get is farther and farther away from the desired house.

I did it many years ago, when you had to fill out a little diary book with everything you watched in 15 minute increments. It was kind of a pain, because I tended to channel surf, and also watched a lot of shows that I had VCR'd during the night.
