Another biter's mom checking in to say sorry.
I used to get so upset when ds would get bit. Now he is the biter and I am relieved when his incident report is for him getting bit rather than biting.

I'm sorry. I picked up my kids from DC yesterday and my 12 month old bit a girl on her foot and tried to bit DD1. She is teething like a mofo. She bit me on the boob and then I realized she's been gnawing on her crib. Little shit turned chipmunk on me.
Little baby biters make me laugh though. My 4yo was a biter. H and I were worried that she was going to get kicked out, but then it magically stopped. I think she learned after a couple of retaliations.

I did actually ask when we were touring this center whether a kid had ever gotten kicked out for, say, biting. Lol! That's something I've learned from GBCN. All babies are liable to go through an intense biting phase. And the answer was no, they've never kicked anyone out for biting.
It would be sort of like kicking out a baby for pooping his pants. They pretty much all do it at some point.

hahah I'm pretty sure I asked GBCN if my kid could get kicked out for being too much of a PITA. I need to go back and find that post. LOL.
Biter story (from the bitten child's mom's perspective): E was in an in-home for 2 years. Another child was a couple months older than he was. This girl bit him, not once, but twice, within a week or two. DCP talked to the mom. The first time the mom saw me after the 2 biting incidents, probably a week after the fact, was, and I quote, "Heard your kid got bit. Huh." and tipped her head at me.

my mother claims that I bit her once.. she must have been at the end of her rope that day, because she bit me back. I never bit again.
My DS went through a biting phase. He bit one of his little friends right on the cheek. It looked so painful. I felt so bad! I can still barely look at the mom without feeling horrible.
