DD woke up at 3:00 AM and put up a huge fight to stay in bed and go back to sleep. DH said she was up at 12:30, too.
Then, she threw a HUGE tantrum this morning - screaming, flailing, screeching. I asked her to pick out her clothes and she didn't (after repeated requests), so I picked them out. It took about 20 minutes for her to calm down so I could get her dressed (in the clothes I picked out because girls who throw tantrums don't get to pick out their clothes).
We aren't watching any tv tonight, which sucks for all of us, really. She didn't understand why, since she calmed down and said she was sorry and won't do it anymore. Sorry kid. Banshee screaming in the morning has consequences.
Just another 4 weeks until she starts her new school with a uniform and DH handling the morning routine...
Today and tomorrow and then I am done with this job forever. I am avoiding as many coworker good-byes as possible. It's awkward when I'm not sad and they are, lol.

We are going to the mall today so my exchange student can but some jeans. Her mom says they are much less expensive in the US. Since their is a heat advisory it send like a good activity for the day.

I'm glad the surgery went well, @peggyolson. Hope you get results soon! Waiting is hard.
I am so anxious about my maternity leave. I know I am not irreplaceable, but there is no one here capable of covering for me now. I know I'm going to end up either working on my leave or coming back to an absolute mess. I wish I cared less!
I'm glad the surgery went well, peggy. Fingered crossed.
I spent about an hour last night looking at the photo galleries on Fertility Friend. I have the following to share: 1) I enjoy a good squinted, but the photos of positive tests they had were ridiculous! I saw nothing!
2) people have nasty fingernails.
3) one lady tested 3x a day stating at 7DPO, and lined them all up in order. I feel somewhat more sane after seeing that!
I have entered the super-complainy part of pregnancy. I'm massive, it's 90 degrees out and I have a very active toddler to keep up with. Get out baby, get out!
I'm right there with you. Except I'm only 35 weeks, so I need her to stay in at least 2 more weeks. But my blood pressure is already starting to rise a bit.
And preferably 3 more weeks since DS1 starts Transitional Kindergarten two weeks from today and I'm nervous about his starting a new school and me having a baby the same week.
PT is so frustrating. C can do it--I know he can. He pees and/or poops before nap and bedtime as a stall tactic and is so proud of himself when he does. But if you say anything about "do you need to go potty?" during the day he flips out and refuses. So basically, 1) he does not want to do anything unless it is HIS idea and 2) he only wants to go potty when the alternative is doing something that is even less fun to him (so, sleeping). Thoughts?
Our neighbors' adult son moved in with them last week. They are elderly but very active so it's likely to be a temporary thing. Which is good because it's obvious that they're already on each other's nerves.

I've done this too. I feel like they are either obviously positive or not even close. And why post a picture of a digital? I don't get it.
DD2 was up 2:30-5 last night. I am so wiped. Now she is fighting her nap. WTF kid, aren't you tired??
DAMMIT, I also JUST realized that I forgot to wave to DD1 at the window at daycare this morning. I dropped her off 90 minutes ago She kept saying she wanted to go home, so I'm sure she freaked out as I drove away.
Brie - have you tried setting a timer? during our first half-assed potty training attempt I told W I was setting a timer and when it went off, he had to try the potty. (I set it for every 30 minutes the first day and then every hour the second day). The third day I was lazy and put him back in pull-ups so thats why I say half-assed ha. But it seemed to work at least the first day because it took away the choice of it. he had to go to sit on the potty. Maybe only for a second, but he had to do it.
I also made him use the potty before any transition (when we actually successfully PTed). He wanted to go outside? okay had to use the toilet first. He wanted to go to the store? potty first. He wanted to go in the basement? potty first. That seemed to help too.
I just ordered a Potty Watch. A friend of mine swears by them. We'll see.

it comes with some effing amazing song lyrics I will tell you that. My friend in Atlanta had one when I was staying with her and we had a big laugh singing all the songs after a couple glasses of wine. Her son is almost 3 and has been a bear to PT.

My mom and sister have both separately asked (multiple times) when I am going to start PT DD, which means they have definitely talked about it when I'm not around. I'm not in a rush because I don't mind diapers, she JUST turned 2, I don't want to be running to the potty with a newborn hanging off my boob, and I'm sure she will regress when the baby gets here anyway.
We have no real plans though. Going to the Getty with a friend this morning, play date this afternoon, ? tonight. Probably cooking my own birthday dinner. Lol. When your birthday is 2 days after your kid's it feels a little anticlimactic.
New hot water heater is being installed right now. Sucks that it wasn't planned for, but for $300 extra we can move it out of the "center" of our utility room. So that's a win.
The spark plugs on our F150 need to be replaced and I am really hoping H will try. He's handy but is worried about the tight quarters under the hood. It would save us between $400-1600, and with the new expenses, it would be so helpful.

I feel you. I've got about 6 weeks left and having to chase a toddler on top of all the end of pregnancy crap is the worst!

Bigger reward for when he goes on his own accord? Like if he goes by himself (& actually pees/poops) 5 -10 times he gets a toy?
My did just noticed our male dog's penis. She was very alarmed bc she thought it was poop. Then she asked me about his tail. I told her it was a tail and now she is running around insisting that it's his "peanuts."
Omg, lol. He's a brown cocker spaniel with a docked tail so his penis and tail look very similar but this is cracking me up.

In 2 weeks, I've lost 7 pounds! I'm now back to my stall out weight. I haven't been able to get below this weight in 15.5 months. I'm going to really be strict about my eating and try to continue working out hard each night in hopes that I can break the barrier. It was good to see it on the scale but annoying to think about how I've been at this weight before and haven't been able to lose more!
