No. I read an article a long time ago that people with TVs in the bedroom have less sex. Since we don't have much sex to begin with, I don't want to take a chance by putting a tv in there and have even less.
I've heard that fact before - part of the reason we took ours out of the bedroom as well.

This. H and I agreed about this before we moved in together 5 years ago.
Do the TV sleepers sleep soundly? Whenever I fall asleep in front of the TV I feel like I stay half conscious. I usually wake up remembering what happened on TV while I was asleep.

I don't fall asleep watching TV. I turn it off after a few episodes or whatever.
yes, I need the background noise to fall asleep. Also, nighttime is the only time I can watch whatever I want without kids around, so its my time to wind down.

I was referring to the people who specifically said they need the TV on in order to sleep.
We have one tv in the living/dining room. It's on 4-5 days a week for a half hour show for DD during DB's nap. Most nights, DH and I watch something during our post bedtime dinner (I know, I know).
Yes, but I wish there wasn't. My H is one of those people who "needs" it to fall asleep, but he manages to fall asleep just fine when we are camping or staying at my parents where he doesn't have a TV, so it's all in his head. And if he falls asleep with it on a channel that has something annoying or crappy on it, I have no ability to change the channel myself (I really need a universal remote...).
We have TV's all over the place. And, yes, definitely in the bedroom. It helps me wake up while we're listening to the morning news. We also have one in our bathroom, exercise room, hearth room, kitchen, basement, & loft. Junkies r us.

We do. I use it almost every night. I typically go to bed much earlier than dh (8:30pm-9pm) and like to watch tv to fall asleep.
I also had a tv in each of the girl's nursery. Usually removed around 6months, but I LOVED having something to watch during late night feedings (though now we have an ipad that would work).
It's used pretty much everyday. Usually, I go up to bed first and watch TV up there with the dogs while H finishes a show I don't like or plays PS golf.
Yes. H and I have very different tastes in TV shows we like (except Wheel of Fortune, hahahahahahahaha), so if I do watch TV, which isn't very often, I tend to watch in the bedroom. I do not like it on to sleep though, the light keeps me up.
