C has expressed zero interest in P's pacis (aside from general toddler playing with them) even though they were the same kind he took. He'd been weaned from them about 8 months when the baby came.
I brought ALL THE PACIFIERS this time. I think I had 4 different kinds in my bag. My nurse LOLed because I told her I panicked when I found out they were doing that WHO baby friendly nonsense after she offered one when I was having a PPD breakdown. They have to keep them for medical procedure soothing anyway, apparently, but she's like "yeah I have the cabinet key."
I'm going with soothies because I want to use a Wubbanub. Plus I think MAMs are ugly.
ETA: DD uses Dr. Brown's and I love them, but they are hard to find in store so we probably won't use them with DC2
I love the Dr. Browns and all 3 have used them, but I can only find them at BRU and they only seem to have one or two packs at a time and I need like 10 because I swap them all out every so often. I have now started ordering them from walmart.com.
J never cared the girls had them. He still had one for a while when the girls did. Once we took them from him permanently we just told them they were for babies and that was it. He occasionally would grab one and put it in his mouth as a joke but that was it.

DS1 still used soothies when DS2 was born. I was afraid he would take the baby's paci so I got the new ones in blue (DS1's were all green). Turns out, DS2 didn't care about or take a paci and DS2 never tried to use them.
Dd prefers nuk. I plan to use the mams to wean her off the paci, since she just doesn't love them as much. She will only take them in an emergency meltdown situation.

I think the kind we used were Nuk.
Whatever we used, the glow in the dark ones were the best because when the kid would launch them out of the crib and we needed to find it in the middle of the night, we could see it.

We used MAM for DD and are using them again with DS. FTR, DD had only been weaned off the paci for about 4.5 months before DS was born and was still talking about missing her pacis a couple of months before he was born, and she hasn't cared at all about him using the same kind as her. Some of them are actually hers because we are sub-par parents and just sanitized them and called it good.
We were also no pacifiers until breastfeeding is established with DD. We gave DS one in the hospital on night one. LOL.

I'm going to try to force the Wub. I have the cutest penguin Wubbanub that I got at my shower. I was SO excited and DS refused to use it. He would only go for MAM 6+ month.
I have only ever had success with wubbanubs and regular Soothies for any of my kids. DD1 was an addict and I was nervous but she did totally fine - we cut her off about 3 months before the girls arrived and there was only 1 instance right when they came home where she tried to use it. We just laughed and told her no silly, those are for the babies!
