Apparently H got a quote from a company that pays you to put ads on your car. He has a longish commute on a busy freeway and the quote was somewhere north of $1000 a month.
He drives a 2010 Audi and is a bit of a car guy (gets car washed, no eating inside, etc.) but even for him the money is tempting.
We both have good paying jobs and don't need the cash. Would you do it?

Funny, you posted this. I just saw a Craigslist ad for the same thing.
Provided, it wasn't something I didn't believe in, I think I'd do it. DH probably wouldn't.
Along the same lines as what others posted, I'm not sure if you live in an HOA or not, but they might consider that business advertising, and I know some HOAs I've lived in, ban company vehicles.
I think they usually do vinyl wraps for stuff like this, not as intense as painting, but not something you can just pull off when you get home. Like shrink wrap for your car.

Yes. He mentioned it was a "wrap" but I have no idea what this entails.
And thanks to others for the scam warning. I have no idea what company or website he has looked at, but def a good reminder.
I don't know if he will do it. While its seems like easy money, this is also the guy that refused to put a parking decal in his rear window.
Most personal auto policies have exclusions about "business use" so they could exclude any and all coverages should you need to file a claim while having the magnet on the car. So if it's something your considering, definitely review your policy. I wouldn't be willing to take that risk
