"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”

6 weeks 1 day. I used saved up sick time, but got docked pay for using one day too much. the extra day was a Friday and the day of my postpartum doctor's appointment.
12 months off. 9 months with (employment insurance payment and my work tops up to 95% of salary). I take the rest of the time with ei payment, no top up (but keeping all my health and para medical benefits).

With Molly, I took about 9 weeks off (6 paid at 60% and three unpaid) - I went back because we were broke. I was on be rest for two weeks before she was born so things were all screwed up.
With Lucy I took the full 12 off, 6 at 60% and 6 unpaid. I had a way harder time going back with the second kid.
6 weeks paid (short term disability), 8 PTO. It was going to be 6 weeks pto but then I would've been back for a week before being gone for a week for thanksgiving. My boss said to just stay home since I had the time banked (thanks, Taking A While To Get Pregnant!).

12weeks between My company disability and SDI and then SDI only for the second 6 weeks. I took 2 weeks of vacation after that and I was off almost 4 weeks before she was born due to a kidney infection.
Mine was very long...16 weeks after he was born (TN law), plus 7 weeks before because I couldn't work because of the pregnancy. 7 weeks pre and 6 weeks post were paid at 100% I think. It was 10 years ago so I may be off a little.

I had 6 weeks of STD, supplemented with my banked sick leave hours each time. The rest of my leave was partially paid, by using my accrued PTO. I used 41 hours of PTO per pay period so I could maintain benefits, and had 39 hours of unpaid leave per pay period.
