Washington (CNN)If Donald Trump takes the White House, Sarah Palin might have an invitation to join his team.
The real estate mogul went on "The Palin Update" Monday -- a radio show airing on Mama Grizzly Radio, a station that offers 24-hour news about Palin and issues related to her -- telling host Kevin Scholla that he would consider having the former Alaska governor in an official capacity in a Trump administration.
"I'd love that," said Trump, who didn't specify what kind of a position he sees for her. "Because she really is somebody who knows what's happening and she's a special person. She's really a special person and I think people know that."
Trump praised the former Alaska governor as someone whose voice still matters with voters.
"I still have people saying, 'Get Sarah's support! Get Sarah's support!' No matter where I go," Trump said. "Everybody loves her."
Palin can relate to Trump's experience of not being well liked for speaking her mind, he added.
"Like me, she's got people that don't exactly love us and we understand who they are and sort of forget about that," he said. "But she has a tremendously loyal group of people out there for her."
Palin, who was Sen. John McCain's running mate in 2008, called Trump a hero last week after Trump questioned McCain's military heroism.
"Trump is the candidate giving voice to untold millions of fed-up Americans witnessing a purposeful destruction of our economy and the equal opportunity for success that made America exceptional," Palin told CNN.
Nate Silver's blog posted an article recently about him being a troll and how Newt had the same kind of rises and falls in popularity before consolidation of the candidates happened.

I feel like his campaign has officially jumped the shark. He has passed from WTF to amusingly ludicrous. I'm starting to believe the dem operative theory because nobody is this clueless.
Every single sentence in this article got a "what the everloving fuck?" reaction from me.
Every. Single. One.
Go on. Go read each sentence and ask yourself what planet you are on.
There is not a single sentence in this article that indicates that this is real news about real people in real race for the very real job of president of a very real country, and yet, here we are.

I thought this might be an exaggeration so I went back. Nope, very accurate.
This is a gem. I just... the amount of WTF I was giving this article is amazing. I am starting to believe that Trump HAS to be trolling everybody because there's no way somebody can have this much crazy and still be a presidential candidate... right?

I just read the article to DH with a WTF after each sentence. ESF was wrong; there is ONE sentence that is spot on: Palin can relate to Trump's experience of not being well liked for speaking her mind, he added.

"Palin, who was Sen. John McCain's running mate in 2008, called Trump a hero last week after Trump questioned McCain's military heroism."
Obviously I agree about all the WTMLF in the article. But I think that one is the most surprising. She's on the anti-McCain train. The man who tanked his own otherwise credible run to pull her sorry idiot ass out of obscurity into the questionable fame and money she's enjoyed since? And she rallies with Trump? Ouch.

Totally agree. That was the biggest WTF in the whole article.

No, I see it actually.
Based on my viewing of the totally true Sarah Palin movie Game Change with Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin, I can vouch for McCain and Palin HATING each other. He blames her for losing the election and she hates him period.
I am afraid that enough of the US is either stupid enough to support them OR doesn't care about politics and will vote them in for the entertainment factor, like the presidential office is some kind of reality show. Please tell me I am very wrong.

Every time Nicole Wallace or Steve Schmidt are on Morning Joe, I hope that one of them will just go off about what it was like working on that campaign. And like you, I base my hopes on watching Game Change. lol
