Next Thursday when the temp is not in the triple digits (edited for spelling--wtf, auto correct) . Taking my niece and nephew out for birthday pancakes. Drinking mimosas this weekend.
Facial and hair appointment this week. I have been looking busted all week, ugh.
Jill Scott and Common concert this weekend and the food we're taking. A concert with good food is really the best outing in the world.
DS going back to school in a couple weeks. I am torn between not looking forward to this at all and very much looking forward to it, so I can go back to walking around my house braless again lol.
Surprising my mom with a visit in September. I almost told her I was coming, but I held back. I will tell her the day before as not to give her a heart attack, but she is going to be so excited.
Madonna concert. Still SO far away but I made a playlist recently to help me countdown and rewatching vintage videos. When Vogue comes on when I'm walking to work, I like to pretend I'm Andy in that scene from Devil Wears Prada.

-Taking a day trip to a nearby state park with H and the pup on Friday to go hiking (never been to this park before!) -Dinner and a concert with friends Friday night -Motion City Soundtrack concert with H on Sat. night (saw them 7 times in college! We are reliving our college days lol)
My husband mentioned possibly buying a house next year, or the year after. I've been itching to buy a house for years and it's never been the right time. We don't live in our favorite town in this state, but I have a new, great job here and he is building a great network here and will likely be offered a job at the university he is graduating from next year so we may just end up staying here. If we stay here, we'd likely be here 10 more years (5 to just work, and 5 more for him to work on his PhD) and then we'd try to move to our favorite city after all of that. If we'll be here about 10 years it makes sense to buy a house, and the COL is much less here than in our favorite city so we can build up a decent nest egg.
This is pretty exciting since we've been nomads for the past 10 years and it will feel great to build some roots!
Picture day at daycare this morning. Putting stuff back into our kitchen this weekend. Being able to park my car in the garage again. Vegas work trip + triathlon in October
