DS has recently started answering questions with "oh yeah!" Stuff like "DS, do you want some milk?" "Oh yeah!" It makes me think of Duffman from The Simpsons EVERY TIME.
DS and I had the best day we've had for awhile. He was a great listener, great helper, polite, and adorable. We had a lot of things to do (pedi appt for DD, drop off paperwork at preschool, lunch out, nap, dinner) and he was fantastic every single time. No tantrums, no bossiness, no naptime shenanigans. My awesome little man is still there somewhere amongst all that 3 year old SASS and DRAMATICS.
After breaking our eternal dry spell tonight in a most unspectacular fashion, I have decided that it's sort of convenient we need IUI to have kids, because now I never have to have sex again!
In case I've been missed, I'm not dead. We were at family camp (which was amazing and an actual vacation with liberal amounts of child care and all my meals cooked for me) and now I'm at work training that hurts my brain but is very useful on my resume.
Thanks @peggyolson for mentioning the Daniel Tiger exhibit at Idlewild awhile back. My kids and I took a road trip out there this week, and we had so much fun both on the journey and at the park. The look of sheer joy on my older daughter's face while riding the trolley and meeting Daniel was worth the trip alone.
The only real negative part of our adventure is that I'm pretty sure that DD2 broke one of my toes by dropping a (full) plastic bottle on it. Boy, did I swear like a sailor in Sheetz!
i am currently unemployed and it is fan-fucking-tastic. i think everyone expected me to be sad and weepy my last day today, but i was nearly gleeful as i walked out at 5:30.
I told my bff tonight that I'm pregnant. She came over to hang out and brought beer, lol. I'm sure I could have just said no to the beer, but it was pretty great telling someone irl. Our first kids are a year apart and she just had her second in Feb so if all goes well, our second kids will be just over a year apart. Perfect.
one of my BFFs is this way. Both of hers are 9 months older than both of mine. i.e. I got my BFPs right when she was in the throes of newborn shit and calling to tell me HAVING A BABY IS A TERRIBLE LIFE CHOICE. lol.

DS1 has started exclaiming "Oh. My. Gosh." about things like dropping a toy, when we are exasperated with him, etc. It's so funny to hear my exact intonation come out of the mouth of a 3yo boy.
