POOP IN THE POTTY!!! Woo! First one! She's been so scared of pooping but today she just told me she had to go and she did it! I am shocked! She's really almost potty trained!!!!!
There is a Green Peace protest going on right now in my city and I am fascinated with it!! They are trying to stop an ice breaking ship from getting up to Alaska for oil drilling. There are like 15 people hanging from a bridge on the river so the ship can't get through. Green Peace said each one of them have enough supplies to hang there for 4 days. 4 DAYS!! It's supposed to be 102 today and 100 tomorrow. I have so many questions. How do they go to the bathroom? What are they eating? How do they have enough water for 4 days? Are they going to sleep?

I just read that a US District Court in Alaska has ruled that Greenpeace will be fined $2500 per HOUR if protesters continue to block the ship.

I want today to be over. It's 95 degrees and supposed to get hotter, and Zoe's flopping around on the ground, crying, because I peeled the banana she asked for.
I'm trying to figure out how to get my three year old properly Harry Potter obsessed by the end of November. I'm getting more and more excited for this trip!
Tell me she will be fine and I will have fun. Djs friends asked us to hang out on Sunday problem is is that they live an hour and a half away and they want us to come up and hang with them without the kids. I know it's silly but I just don't want to leave Amelia for that long or be that far away from her. She's almost 11 months eats table food pretty well now but taking a bottle only so so. We would be gone like 6 hours
I just had an avocado and tomato sandwich and it was so good I'm strongly considering making a second one. Is that excessive? Two sandwiches seems excessive.
There's an expensive light at the end of the "picky boy toddler" tunnel, lol. J has been eating like a voracious teenager lately and it's insane the amount of calories he's pounding down. And he still only weighs 34 lbs (almost 5 years old). I'm hoping this finally puts some meat on his bones. It does frighten me for the teen years. Today he's had 3 nut bars, 2 sandwiches, a pouch, and a big bag of mixed nuts and pretzels. And he's griping at me now that he's soooooooooooooooooooooo hangry.
I got to use one of those car grocery carts you guys talked about! I would've made some heads here spin because I used it for one seated child and only bought beer, formula, and a toothbrush.
So B has been with FIL since last night at SIL's house an hour away. I heard from him today at naptime and that's it. That's fine, but then 6:00 rolled around and he wasn't home yet and I hadn't heard from them. I texted FIL and called SIL and no one answered. I finally got in touch with BIL and they were just sitting down to eat at a restaurant. That's fine too, but I would have liked to have known. Mil didn't even know where they were. This lack of communication is a man thing, right? Or is it just the men in my H's family because H would totally do the same thing.

Mine freaked out and wanted to watch the marathon this past weekend. She actually watched some of the first one. She said she's excited for when she's big and I can read her the books

I'm here too but I'm one of the westsiders... I saw they are about to start arresting people. It's a little much for me but I must say It is a pretty impressive protest.

I'm going to try to get her to watch the first movie for sure!
My mom is being forced to downsize again, because my stepdad's daughter is selling their house and buying them a 1 BR condo (in theory), so she's getting rid of a lot of older books that she doesn't use anymore--if ever.
Guess who volunteered to try to sell them?
I figured it would be better to try to sell them and make at least a few dollars for her rather than just donate them en masse.
However, as the paper bags were loaded into the van, and brought into our house and are now lined up against the dining room wall, I can't help but wonder if this was my mom's thought process:
By the way, did you know how difficult it is to find a decent meme or image that has the keyword sucker attached to it? Pretty darn hard.
