DS has been trained for a long time now. Out of diapers completely day and night since May. In the past month or so, he has damp underwear at least once a day. It's not a full on pee, but just enough to have to change his underwear and sometimes pants. It's so frustrating because he knows he's doing it. He even knows when they are damp and says "No don't check my pants!" out of the blue.
We've been taking away toys as discipline for this, but it isn't working.
Anyone deal with this? Normal? I know it could be worse, but it's really frustrating especially since he knows he has to go, but isn't telling us.

Mel is doing something similar. She cuts going to the bathroom too close and doesn't have a full accident, but enough drops to have to change her underwear or sometimes pants.
I don't have an answer fully since we're working through it. She just got into Daniel Tiger, so I am watching the potty episode with her and when she seems squirmy I remind her she can leave whatever she is doing to come back to it after she is done going. I also randomly ask her if she has to go and sometimes when I go ask her if she wants to try too.
Sounds totally normal. Moms, don't they get the importance of the things toddlers have to do?! Jeeze.

I think we have to make him go on a schedule again for a while and reinforce with a jelly bean or something...taking things away hasn't worked. It seems to happen when he's eating.
H texted me and said he did it again today, so it's not limited to dinner time aka when I am there.
This happened the other day. She waits until the last possible second to pee, it's frustrating but I don't do anything besides tell her it was an accident and next time to make sure she goes sooner. And remind her that she is a big girl and knows how to pee on the potty..
ETA - she gets upset when she has an accident, especially overnight ones.

If she often has overnight accidents, the goodnites tru fit underwear with a cloth diaper liner look like underwear, but will stop small accidents from soaking her. I deal with night wetting a lot, and it is totally normal with some kids until they are much older.
Totally normal. A seems to wait until the last second to go if she's playing or doing something fun. Then she drips several drops in her undies and some how manages to stop the pee. How does she do this? It hurts for me to do that! Anyway, I just get new undies and pants. No big deal. I expect for her to have mini accidents and big accidents while she's growing and getting used to her body.

She will have accident at night about once a month.

I don't know how they do it either. But then my bladder control is terrible since having the kids.
Lily does this too lately because she holds it for too long so she can keep playing. I think she's getting overconfident with how long she can hold it now that she's been potty trained a while. I've had to remind her to go potty more lately and she got a reward this week for making it a full week accident free. I changed it from a day to a week to make it more of a challenge and it seemed to work!
I also don't want her to get at UTI so I've been trying to explain why we don't hold it.
Max sometimes has had accidents for the first few months at preschool. I have told him - hey, you need to try sitting on the potty even if you dont think you have to go (he would only go when he REALLY HAD TO for a while.) It's only starting to get to him now, although I think he has gotten better about understanding it and doing it more often now that the teachers and I remind him. The daytime accidents are pretty much 99% over with - but we never disciplined for it. I get why you would want to - but he's probably not doing it on purpose, even if he is aware of it. It just seems like a normal part of PT. They sometimes forget, get too excited and overwhelmed w/ whatever is going on during the day (or drink too much before bedtime, etc.) I think it will pass, it did for Max at least. He is night trained but the last few nights he's peed in his bed. I just quickly change everything and move on. GL!
