The bumbo (recommended by dd's physical therapist but hated it), the baby Einstein crib soother (I still don't know what you're supposed to do with that thing), avent bottles (dr Browns for the win), crib blanket (draped across of the glider for both kids but never used except that it was cute in the nursery)
My PnP with the napper and changing pad on top. It also has shelves to hold his diapers, wipes, butt cream, extra clothes and burp cloths...
Could you share a link to this PnP? It sounds wonderful!
I love this. It lives in our bedroom and is so convenient for MOTN diaper changes. The only thing is that I wish the napper could come in and out more easily. But very minor.
Moby Wrap...I could never get it tied 'just right'. The baby would slouch in it and overheat and it killed my back. I hated wrestling with what felt like 10 yards of fabric while in a parking lot.
Boppy...I like the Breast Friend better. The Boppy was better for propping the baby up IMO.
Lol. Surprisingly unhelpful, although I do appreciate everyone's feedback! It's at least something to think about.
We got a bumbo, a bouncer, a snap & go stroller, and a k'tan for free, so we can see how those go risk-free at least!
There seems to be consensus that skip hop diaper bags are terrible, so duly noted
I think I've read something before that makes me think we live in the same area. Are you on FB? The local "mom swap" pages have been awesome for me. I didn't really know they existed before DD, but I've bought a lot of really nice stuff secondhand for cheap.

I joined my town's mom swap FB page. So far not much has caught my eye for infants (we'll get to the older kid stuff later) but some of my mom friends in town have raved about it as a resource. I do keep an eye out for stuff we might need.
Multiple bottles. DS took, like, maybe 3 in his life. I kept buying in search of the holy grail.
8 fitted crib sheets. DS had a round crib and I made these from beautiful cotton broadcloth. I used two in the 4 years he used the crib. The other six never got used. My BFF's kid was a spitter; DS wasn't.
Baby Bjorn. DS hated it. Someone gave me a broken in ring sling when he was a toddler which he loved. It was too short for DH.
The underwires that gave me plugged ducts and potentially mastitis.
The swing kept DS alive. I had 2 in an 800 sq ft house.
As someone who was grossly unprepared when my kid decided to show up early - Unless you live in the middle of nowhere, all you need when you bring your baby home is a few outfits, diapers, wipes, and basic feeding stuff like however she was being fed in the hospital.
For everything else, there's Target, BRU, and Amazon as you realize you need stuff. For me it was a great break to be able to leave the baby with my husband in the evenings and roam the aisles at Target studying all the baby stuff. Everything in those aisles and all the online threads and discussions made more sense after she came home. Even if you bring your kid home like we did on Christmas Eve, the one day when all the stores close early and actually remain closed the next day, you'll survive.
Remember, in Finland newborn babies sleep in cardboard boxes and no one bats an eye.
DD had a bunch of hats gifted to her but they were ridiculous on her even as a winter baby. She was born with a full head of hair at 33 weeks. It took me about 6 months to realize that onsies = blowout on her but I kept putting her in them because I thought all babies lived in onsies. And I loved my Skip Hop via Messenger, so there's that. But I was so thrilled when her Rockaroo broke and stopped rocking because that meant I was able to return it for a full refund at BBB. She truly hated that thing.
Wrap carrier. Way too hot to use with summer babies, and by the time the weather cooled down they were old enough for my much more convenient ring sling.
