Any apps, websites that you use in the classroom. We're going to have increased tech this year and I'm trying to get a wide variety of things that others use. I'm pretty on top of all things tech, but it's always good to see what others have vetted and like.
I haven't used it yet, but we just purchased a license for Newsela at our school. It is a site where kids can read the same articles about relevant current events in their specific lexile level. Sounds cool!

Have you used Plickers? I just did a workshop on technology and that was one of the coolest things. PollEverywhere was another or there was a racing game that I can't remember right now.
We will have google apps for education. So this will be an option. I'm just finding my super love of all thing Google. Haven't played with classroom yet

Do you have a Smartboard?
I've played with Plickers a little in the past. We used it in my PD last week, so I actually just printed 6 sets of cards on card stock today. I plan on using it for bell ringers. I have a promethean board.

I second the Plickers suggestion! It is such a cool app! We were trained in it last year and will be trying it out this year.

I miss my Promethean Board so much! I had one at my old school and don't at my new school. It was such a wonderful tool!
I teach 6th grade math steph196. Yeah, I'm pretty excited about the Plickers. I was meh about them when I played with it before, but playing with them hands on last week sold me on a lot. I just ordered some matte laminating sleeves from Amazin so I can laminate my sets at home.

It is. I don't use it as much now that I have my document camera. It gets glitchy. I'd die without my document camera though.

I didn't know they sold matte laminating sheets! That's great! I will have to pick some up.
I wish I had more recommendations for upper grades, but I don't.

We are a Google school so I use google classroom for everything. You can post assignments that students can complete and submit.
i like scoot pad a lot. The free version is ok, but for $5 a month, you can customize it a lot.
You'll love google classroom if you're secondary. If you end up using google classroom, flubaroo is an add on for google classroom. It's very easy and nice to help analyze test scores and data (all that fun stuff art teachers don't deal with as much ).

I've used newsela it's great for differentiating current events
