Yay for poop and pee. I'd just keep working the breast milk and know you have formula in hand if needed. You are going great! Those early days are so stressful!

Update again!
So I woke her at 12:50 because 2 hours had passed and her diaper was wet! Not a lot, but wet! She nursed on one side (super painful, I need to fix her latch) then I gave her another half-ish ounce I pumped while she had been napping. I'm going to let her have a 4 hour stretch now and wake her to check out the situation.

Well the latch is still a problem. During her 4 hour stretch I was going to pump so if be ready when she woke up. I fell asleep. I woke up about 40 minutes before I was going to wake her. Transferred her to the bassinet and when to pee and when I came back she was fussing and rooting. I tried to latch her and it didn't work and she was screaming. I had to quickly mix up formula and about an ounce drank she was satisfied. After she ate I pumped and got about 1.25 ounces combined from both sides.
I'm so frustrated. I sent H out for nursery water and a nipple shield. I went on the LLL site and emailed someone who is local that can hopefully meet with me and help fix her latch. Otherwise I am going to try to get in to see a lactation consultant via the health department next week.
I keep trying to remind myself I had similar problem with Jack too and I nursed him until he was 18 months. It's just so emotional when you are in the thick of it and sore and tired.
An oz and a half is great! I hope you can see the LC asap. I had problems with both boys and it worked out. Keep posting, keep your chin up and make sure you are eating and drinking too!! Hugs honey it is so hard. Maybe try some different positions too?
If you are engorged and having a problem getting her to latch, try reverse pressure softening. It essentially pushes the excess fluid away from the nipple so it is easier to latch on. It was a life saver for me.

Do you have the local LC info? If not, I think I still do - I can send it along. It's a yellow sheet about the size of a wide bookmark. Let me know and I'll text you the info.

The LLL lady I emailed let me know they run a group Wednesday mornings so I am definitely going to that.
The nipple shield has saved my life. It's a long weekend and I can't meet with the LLL lady because she is camping with limited cell service so the shield will help me get to Wednesday. She's been wetting diapers today.
I gave formula before we left for our newborn photos today. H couldn't find a nipple shield at walmart so I had to wait until after photos to go to BRU. I guess the upside of giving the formula before the newborn session is that she was extra sleepy and they got tons of photos.
