I've been super active at work this week, and the last couple of days I've noticed that when my heart rate is up, my back 3 teeth on the left side throb. Once I rest a little it usually goes down to a dull ache. Has anyone else experienced this, and any tips on how to help? Would you go to the dentist or is it a weird pregnancy thing that will go away in a few days? To make it even more fun, my emotions are in overdrive right now. I've cried three times this week. Lol. I'm losing it!
I would guess this probably is somehow pregnancy related and so would wait a couple days and see if it stops. If not I would call or email the non emergency line at my OB/midwife and see what they recommend.
Not the same, but I had pain in my upper jaw/teeth last week along with my sinus infection. That's never happened before, so I choose to blame pregnancy. It went away when the congestion went away.
I'd call the dentist. If nothing else, your insurance might cover additional check-ups since you're pregnant (mine does) so it might be worth it just to talk to them.
Thanks for your responses, guys. I am 13 weeks (I need a ticker so bad, I keep forgetting lol). I was in so much pain today, I woke up and my bottom tooth touching my my top tooth made me want to cry. It didn't go away today so I called my dentist and begged him to come in and look at it. lol. I need a root canal on Monday. With no gas! He ended up doing a different procedure today where he cut the top of my tooth off and cleaned out the dead nerves and blood vessels to get me through the weekend. He didn't want to do the root canal today because his staff was all out for the weekend and it's the veeerrryyyyy back tooth to it's hard to do. My husband got to play dental assistant and do the suction thingie during the procedure today though. Haha.
Oh my god I'm so sorry to hear this!! That is the worst. For what it's worth I've had two root canals done with no gas because the place didn't have it. Very very sucky but manageable. Sorry you have to do this!
Oh man. That stinks. I am glad that you're getting it fixed. ((slcjess)) At least you know what it is, and it's probably not pregnancy related. Why does pregnancy have to be such a mind trip?
I have major dentist anxiety so I'm a little panicky about Monday with no gas. I may have burst into tears when my dentist told me. Lol. Luckily I've had no pain today andy dentist texted me today to check on me. He's the best.
