I'm so tired. The 21.day.fi.x is kicking my ass - but I'm hoping I'm going to actually see some results. I'm being pretty good! I think I'm not going to weigh myself after week 1 and just keep at it for the full 3 weeks and see what the total result is. I'll cry tears of lettuce and broccoli if after a week I'm only down .5 lbs or something - not motivating.
DS's comment regarding his wake up diaper change: "Whoa. That a lot of poop!"
You said it, mister. Hopefully it's not a harbinger of the day to come...
My right eye is a little swollen, and keeps tearing up. I forgot to switch to new contact lenses. This sucks, but not enough to make me consider LASIK. ::shudders::
I shudder too. I wear glasses and I often get asked why I haven't done LASIK. Cutting my eye?!? Noooo thank you. I'm fine with glasses.
Is a senior member 5000 posts? I WANT TO BE A SENIOR MEMBER. 41 more posts to go.....lolol
So, I saw this and thought, hmm I wonder how close I am. I checked my post count 5535. So I was about to say, no, must be more than 5k needed. Then I realized I am a senior member lol. I wonder when that happened.
My in-laws officially live 8 minutes away from us now! They arrived last night and the moving truck comes today. We are bringing pizza over to the new house tonight.

I have to tell you, and redheadbaker too, that getting LASIK was absolutely the best thing I've ever done for myself. I now have better than 20/20 vision, and after wearing glasses/contacts since elementary school, being free of them (and also, being able to SEE when I wake up in the middle of the night) is so.amazing.
If you ever do decide to do it, you will not regret it.
Every time I read one of holly116 post realize what even more of slacker I am at parenting and I only have one kid. Whipping out mowing the lawn with 3 kids during nap time after solo parenting for 8 days. HA! That would never happen in my world- instead there would be nice big old receipt for the lawn guy left for H to pay. You are truly a rock star.
I am totally judging one on of our friends who is one of H's really good friend. He dropped our of their fantasy football league because his dog is sick and he needs to focus on that. I am the biggest dog person around and my dog are my kids but really- you can't play fantasy football? H is kind of hurt.
Finally getting down to the beach this weekend after 3 weekends off and I am so excited plus some friends were suppose to come but they canceled and I am so happy as I just didn't feel like "hosting" this weekend.

My exchange student left this morning. I only cried a little bit. Goodbyes are hard, especially when you know you probably won't meet again. As much as I'm looking forward to getting back to normal life, I'm still really sad. It was a really good experience and she was a very sweet girl.
Apparently I've been snoring lately and DH has been sleeping in the guest room When he mentioned just sleeping in there for awhile I felt a little bad at first and then had awesome thoughts of starfishing our bed.
DD woke up at 6am again, uggh. We gave her some milk and she went back down til 9 though! I need to shower and get ready to go to the pool with a friend, then on to DD's 3 year well visit.

We are having a few friends over for a pool parry playdate this morning. Should be fun and wear the kids out for a decent nap time/quiet time this afternoon.

Right? This is when I realize I'm way too lazy to manage having a third kid. If I move my lazy ass off the couch during nap time to throw laundry in, I feel like I deserve a trophy.
We have not run the Roomba in 2 weeks and honestly I can't really tell a difference. I'm considering returning it to Costco but that feels wrong even though we bought it there because of the return policy...
I am having a supremely shitty day. I just sat on the floor of the basement bathroom in my office and cried for 10 minutes over something that REALLY doesn't fucking matter. I just can't with today.
I don't set an alarm anymore because DD is almost always up by 6:15 and I usually wake up on my own before that anyway, not that I want to. But I slept horribly and she was up at some point for a minute talking to herself but didn't really wake up until 7:15, so we were super late. I heard SO's alarm at 6:20-ish but ignored it because I was so tired from not sleeping. I got to work 45 minutes late but whatever, it's been a busy week and I'm tired and don't care.
On that note I booked a 90 minute massage for this afternoon. And bought ingredients last night to make coconut cupcakes Sunday since I've been craving them.

We have to always clean ours out before we use it. One of our dogs sheds like crazy so it fills up pretty quick.

We cleaned it out twice a week and ran it in a different part of the house each day (so the whole house got vacuumed once a week). Maybe we didn't run it or clean it enough?
DH has been texting me all morning with pictures of what he and DS are doing. They've gone on the light rail and are now out to lunch. DH just posted a few pictures on FB and DS's stuffed dog is in a high chair.
I texted DH telling him that that was really cute. Apparently doggie got dropped on the floor so the waiter brought over a high chair for it. Totally awesome of the waiter, especially during the lunchtime rush!

Thank you leonard131! It hasn't always and isn't always this way, but we have a busy weekend and the last thing I want is for DH to feel the need to disappear for God knows how long because of the stupid yard. He needs to take these CHILDREN lol. So, I'm doing absolutely everything I can today so I can fall into a heap once he lands tomorrow.
And it feels empowering as hell to realize that yup, I can not only survive, but thrive when he's out of town.
But to keep it real, the kids really needed baths last night, we were outside hiking all day, they were covered in sunscreen and bug spray. But, I was lazy and assumed I'd be able to bathe them all one at a time with my babysitter here today. She cancelled. So, I changed all their sheets and I'm taking them to the pool here in a bit. It's easier to shower them off after swimming. And I can stick them in childcare and read my book on the treadmill afterwards.

I just spent way too much money on a Scrapbook and pages for dd's baby book. I know I could get everything cheaper at Michael's, but whenever I do that I'm just not as happy with the quality.
Damn my Aunt for getting my into scrapbooking with Creative Memories 15 years ago! No store bought stuff ever stands up to the quality and I'm too spoiled now.

i have to clean mine after every use because it fills up. I sure as shit notice if I skip a day running it.
We are driving to a big outdoor picnic/party in Malibu right now.
H cannot pass a sign for Encino on the freeway without making an Encino Man joke. Like I think it is a legit impossibility for him. If he was with the President of the U.S. he would make an Encino Man joke.
