humpforfree do you have a sing along cd? We use that and give him his stuffed dog and books.
J had the most epic tantrum today when we tried taking an ice pop from him. He sat by the fridge and cried and pulled on the doors.
I packed raffi, but he typically doesn't pay attention to the radio I've got a bag of toys on the front seat next to me so I can pass toys back one at a time. If all else fails, I'll give him my phone.
I miss alcohol - not for the booze as much as just having something yummy to drink after bedtime. I need to buy something interesting and non caffeinated and not too sugary to drink at night.
I was this way when I was PG with DD2.
I went apeshit on some LaCroix for like 3 weeks and then had an aversion to it for the rest of the pregnancy. lol.

I bought Ben a Duplo train today and made a big deal of giving it to him tonight and playing with him. We read books etc. It was my turn to do bedtime but as soon as we started going upstairs he said "Daddy, bye bye Mommy" and indicated he wanted DH to do bedtime. Little jerk :-(
WF had black & white cookies today! They aren't as good as the ones you get in NY but they satisfied the craving I've had for months!
DS is on a super stressful project at work and said he doesn't think he will be home until 8pm for the next 2 weeks. And that we may have to cancel our trip to the lake house next weekend

I drank high-quality hot tea with a little honey. It wasn't enough caffeine to affect my sleep, but still felt like a special drink.
I love screw top wine. It is the best. The bottle I am drinking has a screw top and I was sooooo happy to realize that when I opened it. I give not two shits that screw top wine is gauche.
My husband wanted to take us to a county fair. We got so much food (too much!)
I had a DoleWhip and some mini donuts for dinner, and got to ride on some crappy carnival rides with DS.
Very enjoyable Friday night AND we randomly ran into glitzy07!
So random to run into you! After we left you guys C rode on three rides and loved them, although me riding the carousel with him wasn't my best decision. Needless to say, H did the other spinny ride.

We wants to go see Wait Wait Don't Tell Me at the park last night, but DS was having none of it. Instead we took our picnic to a little neighborhood park. I forgot cups, so we drank wine right from the bottle.
My baby has been asleep since 5:30. I'd be worried that he will be up at 2 am except it is H's night so...I don't really care. I plan to sleep in the guest room.
DH will be waking up in Munich shortly to head to the airport! This trip has been hard, nine days of solo parenting at the end of summer, I knew it would be so I kept us really busy and legitimately enjoyed the time with my kids. But I can tell that I'm just barely holding it together.
I already have a half day at the spa scheduled for Friday. I can't decide between ice cream or beer so I may just have both tonight.
Ugh the bed wetting alarm thread on ML gives me anxiety. I was a bed wetter (spreadsheet) so I'm already worried E will be like me. The stigma is awful and I can remember how embarrassed I was as a child.

My wife nursed the baby on a city bus today. We were 20 minutes from home and DD went from happy to full on meltdown in about a minute, which is a sure sign she was hungry. I'm so impressed with DW!
We get so much attention when we're out with the baby. Mostly comments about babywearing or how little she is. This stops at some point, right?

Size comments drive me nuts. K will be 10 months on Wed and we get a lot of comments on how teeny she is. She's 15lbs.
There is a delicious kale, dried Apple, dried cranberries & orange dressing salad at WF. Sadly I need to reduce the amount of it I eat because it's causing some digestive issues.
Why is slow release iron hard to find in stores? WF, Walgreens & Target didn't have it.

I mean she's small but not abnormally small. She's a baby, they're little by design!
We went over to the ILs to have pizza for dinner and give them their housewarming gift (a FireStick). It was so nice. C adores their dogs and ran around and didn't want to leave. Tomorrow MIL and I are going shopping for house stuff with P while H, C, and FIL work in the yard. It just means so much to me that the boys will have them in their daily lives now.
I finally admitted I need to see a therapist and emailed one locally who specializes in birth trauma and was recommended by ICAN. I feel so relieved and can't wait to get the ball rolling with her.
DS has been saying "I want mommy to go away" and instead of being sad, I'm secretly glad grandma has to deal with bedtime. I also think she enjoys it more if I pretend I'm hurt. Helps the internal gloating. Whatever gets me out of his room before 9pm.
I absolutely love it when I take DD to the in-laws and she's all "bye mommy, you go, I stay." CHECK YA LATER, KID!
