DS2 is turning 4 and I want to upgrade his bed to a full. He is way too big for the toddler bed, but we have the conversion kit for a full. The issue is we can't really afford a full room redo with new accessories and all so I have to kind of go with the theme now which is jungle, but the décor is not really babyish.
His room now has sage green walls, dark wood furniture and some jungle stuff. I wanted to do what I did with DS1 which is a more neutral comforter with fun "kid" sheets that we can ditch when he outgrows them in 2 or so years. I just found perfect PBK sheets and a madras comforter that I think would coordinate..except that they are sold out of the sheets .
Could you just buy a couple of those PB pillowcases and then a blue or green or whatever color sheet set from Target or wherever to match? I know my kids really only pay attention to what's on their pillows. Those jungle sheets are really adorable!

This is what I was going to suggest. Marshalls has 650 thread count sheet sets for like $35. Those will be timeless and then you can spend the money on decorative pillows or blankets. I like to switch out the pillowcases and blankets but always have solid sheets. But I admit to being particular about bedding, I hate polyester and characters.
