Requirements- Has to hold a lot and either be a crossbody or have the option to wear over the shoulder and hold a substantial amount of stuff. I'm considering the following bags but am not sure if I'm sold on them. I would consider a Chanel for the right style, and I love my Prada bags. Not a big gucci fan. While I do like expensive bags, I like them for their function, and not just their fashion. That is more important to me.
Hermes Evelyn III (picture is for style, not color choice)
And the LV Neverfull in GM (obviously way less than the Hermes but super functional)
I changed the pictures to show one of the other side. The H side was meant to be worn on the inside so your riding equipment could be on the outside pocket but people like to show off the H side. I agree with you though, that is one thing that's holding me up about the bag.

I like that side much better! What color would you get it in?
The colors they have online aren't as good as in store. Ideally I would love a taupe or soft grey that would be a good neutral.
My go-tos for high end bags are usually Bottega Veneta and Gucci, but I do love my Chloe Marcie hobo - it is probably my favorite right now. My only complaint about it is that the zipper opening is a bit small, but it holds a lot.
I have also looked at and really like the Michael Kors Skorpios but I have a less expensive MK bag that looks nearly identical (very plain, no logs) so I can't really justify buying the Skorpios until it wears out.
Not a fan of either of the bags you posted. Mostly due to the logos, but also are they both open on top? I prefer bags with a zip closure, otherwise my stuff is always falling out in the car or in the stroller basket when I'm wrangling kids.
I love BV! They have the best leather. My mom has a huge BV tote that I love but don't know if it makes sense to buy the same one since I can borrow hers anytime I want. I like the nerverfyll because I know what I'm getting and it's a great diaper bag, but I wish they made the epi leather version in the GM size.
I really like the cognac Valentino that another pp posted.
I love my neverful, but I have the MM which is plenty big. The GM is huge in person if you haven't seen it. It almost look the size of a gym bag.
I should have added I'm very conservative so the rockstud is a bit too trendy for me. I do love the color though!
The size of the GM is part of its appeal. Sadly I have 2 MMs that aren't big enough. But then I feel like it's so boring to spend the money on a bag that's JUST function, you know?

I like the Hermes since the logo is worn to the back. I'm an Artsy fan for LV bags, but that's hovering close to limit and doesn't do cross body. Have you looked at the Saint Laurent bags at all? I like this one and I'm betting it has to come in their gray which looks gorgeous. Their leather is fantastic quality. I've held a couple of these and liked the feel. I think the size on this would be good too. This is another that's way under, but I've had one of their early bags since the Dutchess was spotted with their canvas Cafe Tote. Mine is four years old and going strong. The leather is butter soft and quality is fantastic for the price point. They are more of a UK label, but OP carries them everywhere. I love their taupe Thela bag. They also have the Halo with more traditional handles.
