You know your getting old when the alarm to wake up goes off at a time when you used to be getting home back in the day after a Saturday night out. Heading to race site to swim bike and run with 1200 other ladies.....

That's a line in a Jimmy Buffet song! "These days I'm up about the time I used to go to bed."
Good luck on your race (Irongirl?)
I've got a one-hour ride on the schedule today, then lazing by the lake and maybe some sailing.
Good luck everyone. It's almost noon here in London. I'll be going for a 40 minute run today. Yesterday I ran faster than 10 minutes for the first time since last year (when I was running a lot more)...and I did hills too, though only did 25 minutes of running. So I'm quite pleased. My goal is to get to at least a 9min mile for 3 miles in the next month.
Rest day (weirdly sore from my sad no arms workout though)
Headed down to KY to my parents house. My niece is staying with them and is trying to lose weight and eat healthier. My mom has always been a frozen dinner and canned vegetable person so she asked for my help. So we're going to make a meal plan and go grocery shopping. I'm excited and nervous.
It's 5am and I'm up to meet friends for a trail run. I have no clue how far we'll go today. Anywhere from 8-14 miles depending on where we turn around.
I'm tired and my stomach is full from yesterday's food.
I'm up although it's already 7 am. Rest day but we're going to enjoy this beautiful Chicago morning and knock out a round of golf. Have a great Sunday everyone!
Did 12 with the last 2 on pouring rain. Ugh I never chafe with body glide unless it rains. How can I avoid chafing in the rain too? It never ends! My poor iner thighs. That's the inky place I chafe with body glide if it rains :-( please don't make me wear pants yet! I put A LOT of glide on too!

I'm up but still in bed in our hotel room. We head home from NYC today. It has been a wonderful trip but I am beyond ready to get home to the kids.
I slept in and skipped my run yesterday, but we walked approximately 500 miles so I don't feel guilty. I may ride the trainer when I get home tonight. I have my long run yesterday(ETA: tomorrow! Not yesterday. Yesterday makes no sense. Long run is tomorrow) so no running today.
I skipped my recovery run cause my cold is back was nasty this morning. I feel better now that I am sitting on my deck drinking coffee. We are headed out to brunch and The Book of Mormon in a little bit.
I just got up. H is going to lift and then we're doing a repeat of last weekend with bloody Mary's and waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. I need to clean and then do 10 miles later.
I was supposed to run yesterday but my neighborhood big wheel race kind of got in the way. Not hungover but my stomach felt weird from drinking last night. I'll run four miles tonight I guess.
I just got back from 8 miles. Farthest run since my marathon!! I've noticed that my pace has already dropped 1 min/mile while maintaining my target heart rate since I started running by heart rate. That's exciting! I'm still ridiculously slow compared to where I was in feb/March, but whatever. I guess that means I was running too hard when I thought I was going easy because look where it got me.
I won my cross country/trail 8k today! I had an almost identical time as my road race twilight 8k a couple weeks ago, but my last mile on this one was so much faster. Faster than my 5k pace and on GRASS. Finishing strong is such a nice feeling, and pretty rare for me lately.
In less exciting and slightly TMI news, huge thumbs up to black compression shorts since my period decided to come mid race. I was not aware of this until after, but it would have been a not so good look if I were wearing different shorts. The things us women athletes have to deal with
