It took me a month to figure out that my chronic July headaches were not due to humidity or dehydration, but most likely to the Mirena. I have a history of hormonal headaches and used to get a migraine on the first day of each period when I was still nursing DD. I'm terrified the monthly migraines may return.
Anything I can do? Might my body just adjust after a while? I just had the Mirena inserted at the end of June. I'm also still bleeding, FWIW.
I have had multiple Mirenas and no noticeable headaches. But this July I have had so many headaches. I doubt it's the Mirena but who knows? I think for me it's lack of sleep, dehydration and humidity. I rarely get them when I spend the day at work (inside) And they are pretty bad. Tylenol doesn't work - only Advil. And sometime I feel nauseous.

You should get checked for intracranial hypertension.
I don't have a mirena but anecdotally some women do get different side effects like on going spotting, headaches, mild cramping that don't let up and they opt to get it taken out. If I were you and you're still having headaches I'd talk to your doctor about your symptoms and come up with a game plan/time frame to reasses. Hope they go away.
