Walking around Greenwich Village this evening I saw a woman who had to be in her 70s looking great and comfortable in a linen romper
And I called Anthropologie and they waived shipping for me -- thanks jenny1980, @marshmallows, and @dr.girlfriend!
I may be up to 16 rompers from 5 stores that I've ordered in the last 24 hours :/ Thank god my husband will be working all hours for the next two weeks so he won't be around to see the packages!
I'm late to this, but I'm 29 (ok...33) anyway I love rompers! They are super cute and flattering. My favorite is 3/4 sleeve from Loft, I bought it last spring but it's still on their website.
I think the people posting that *they* think rompers are stupid or ugly or only for children, should post what their typical fashion choices look like. Because I'm not taking fashion advice from most MMers, sorry, but I've seen the clothing and shoes suggested by some on this board, and, no.
Update: the first one arrived and it is too early to decide which romper(s) will be the winner (there are a lot of contestants) but oh my god it is so comfortable and makes me want to never again wear anything that isn't a romper.
Oh, it wasn't a "you look awful" type of laugh -- more of a "what the hell are you wearing?" laugh. Which is ... not unexpected. He's not big on trends. It will have no bearing on how often I actually wear rompers going forward (if they all feel like this one, every day).
