1. 18w today 2. My back is starting to hurt. I hope I'm just sore from my adjustment. 3. I'm a pharmacist and work in medical affairs for a pharmaceutical company. I love it. 4. Since I WFH it has been easy to keep my feet up and take breaks. Motivation is hard to find some days. Travel (once a month-ish) is way more difficult -- lugging things around, long days, all the walking. And the early AM flights are killer (already on the plane today).
1. How far along are you? 33 weeks today. 2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? We got SO much done this weekend. Bought our car seat, got all the little things left on the list (soothies, nipple creams, wipes, etc) and I organized the shit out of our place. I set up a basket under the bathroom sink for post partum items and its stocked with stuff my sister gave me (pads, mesh undies) and I bought witch hazel wipes. I will add the stuff from the hospital there. I am feeling so much more "ready" than last week. 3. What do you do for a living? I plan corporate events for a healthcare technology company. I have done some wedding planning and day of coordination on the side and would like to expand that someday. 4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life? I travel a ton so that was really difficult for a while. Now I have stopped traveling which is weird in other ways because I am in the office so much. I am really happy I told them I needed to stop traveling sooner than later because I can't NOT see traveling at this point, particularly for work.
2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? Feeling good overall, but my feet are gettig crazy swollen at the end of the day. Wearing compression socks at home helps, but I can't wear them to work in this heat!
3. What do you do for a living? I'm a Marketing Communications Manager for a medical devices company
4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life? I've been able to do my job just fine while being pregnant. I do get super tired at the end of the day, but it is what it is...

1. 21 weeks 2. I'm feeling pregnant. I'm sore and it's getting harder to move around in bed and off the sofa. The charley horses have started too. 3. I'm a teacher. 4. I had a great first tri so that wasn't bad at school. I've been off for summer the past 8 weeks. I'm worried about starting back up, that first 6 weeks block is so draining.
Preppy when did you stop travel? My boss keeps asking me for a date.
I asked to stop at 28 weeks. There was a tradeshow in Orlando at 29 weeks that I had zero interest in attending which sealed the deal. I'm glad I stopped earlier, I am very uncomfortable now.
1. How far along are you? 5w1d 2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? I'm still in the super early, nervous about everything under the sun, stage. I hope to chill out a little bit after my first appt next week. 3. What do you do for a living? Criminal defense/immigration attorney 4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life? It hasn't really yet. I've been sort of hiding out the last two weekends because I'm not ready to tell our friends. It's been easy because two of our close friends just had babies, so social stuff has slowed down a little for now. I don't really see it affecting my job much. I'll need to make decisions about maternity leave early because I often schedule trials as far as 6 months out.
Belly is starting to impede things like bending over. I'm grateful for my yoga practice and trying to keep it up so I don't become too inhibited. Still lifting my 40lb 4 year old when needed.
I teach special ed in an inclusion class. I taught summer social skills class and did 3 days of summer Child Study Team. Being PG won't impact my job (it did with my first when I was working with physically aggressive ED/BD students but I'm back in public school now). It does suck having to leave mid-year, though, and everyone assuming that I'll be out till next school year, which I won't. I'll be back in March, maybe April. We can't afford to not have my salary AND pay COBRA. Hopefully they'll hire someone good to ease the transition and at the least the gen ed coteacher will remain consistent.
2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? I have an aversion to donuts. Took one bit of these super fancy donuts that I would normally be all over and promptly threw it up. Not okay, baby. Not okay.
3. What do you do for a living? Chemist
4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life? lol for days about my job. I wasn't allowed to work at all last week. This week I'm doing an air monitoring to measure level of exposure to pretty much anything. Yay?
1. Dw is 12 weeks 2. We went to a wedding last night for a work friend and we told some more people as it was pretty obvious that she wasn't drinking. 3. I am a teacher and Dw is a geriatric social worker. 4. De is on her feet all day at a nursing home. So the fatigue has been difficult but ok so far. I am sure it will get worse as we go along.
1. How far along are you? 13 weeks this week 2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? Have been avoiding meat lately, and craving fresh fruits and veggies. Need to eat smaller meals. The heartburn and reflux is killer. 3. What do you do for a living? I work for a non-profit in medical education, part project manager, part customer relations manager. 4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life? sometimes I am just too tired to work at the office and go work from home, but this has always been the case; I work for a very flexible company!
4. Job? Not much has changed at all. I'm billing more than I ever have, and traveling per usual. My travel stop date is doctor-imposed 35 weeks.
Life? omg, I don't even recognize my life. I went from endurance athlete to riding only on my trainer in comparatively small amounts, not running, and swimming much shorter distances, and feeling like a boat when I do. Since my work life has not slowed, what has slowed is having energy for anything afterwards. I'm not really enjoying my current "balance."
2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? My ML friends threw me a baby shower yesterday; it was great! I'm bummed we didn't get any pics together though.
3. What do you do for a living? I work in marketing for a commercial real estate company.
4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life? Thankfully it hasn't. Everyone here at work has been really supportive, and in my personal life, everyone is excited for us. Other than being really tired, nothing has changed much...yet!
2. Anatomy scan today!! Hopefully babe cooperates and we find out boy or girl.
3. I am a CPA.
4. I quit my job when we moved last month and am going to be a sahm this year. Yikes. I think working would be easier during pregnancy, my 2 year old is exhausting.
1. How far along are you? 2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? 3. What do you do for a living? 4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life?
1. 13 weeks 3 days officially. I am pretty sure it's 14 + 3 but we will go with the first ultrasound instead of the second. 2. Still nauseous, but beginning to feel better. 3. I am an in-house physician recruiter for a large health system. 4. It's hard to find the energy to be "on" all of the time. I feel like I am getting by with the bare minimum right now.
2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? Physically I felt pretty decent this past week compared to some of the others.
3. What do you do for a living? Children's accessory designer. I have my own label.
4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life? Things are really busy at this time with the business and trying to launch a new line/products and while I'm working with a manufacturer, all the baby products are currently made by my seamstress and myself so I spend a good amount of time behind the sewing machine which hurts my back at times.
2 - I opened my giant tub of 0-3 month stuff for the last time over the weekend, and it was so emotional. Both of my daughter, and now baby girl #3 have all used this same stuff and its just so sad to think that this is the last time I will take all this tiny stuff out, wash, sort, and put it away. We did also officially decide on the name Nora Quinn, so it feels good to feel like my family is complete.
3 - I became a SAHM on June 1
4 - Well, I quit my job to be a SAHM, so it has changed my work/life balance for the better! Working 50 hours a week and feeling like we were just barely surviving as parents was awful. I don't know that we can afford for me to SAH forever, but hopefully for at least a year or two. Mentally, I couldn't handle working another day, and this has been such a wonderful change of pace for our family. I felt like I was constantly rushing myself and my kids. Hurry up and get out of bed, hurry up and get dressed, hurry up and finish breakfast, hurry up and get in the car, hurry up and get out of the car, hurry up and finish your dinner, hurry up and get in bed….rinse, repeat the next day. So far, I have no regrets, and I am sure once the baby gets here it will be a completely different kind of stressful, but I am looking forward to it!
2. Headed to my first appointment with my midwife group later this morning. It feels anticlimactic since we've already had a couple of U/S and found out the sex, etc…I guess they'll just do the usual pee in a cup and blood pressure/weight check and then hopefully I'll be outta there and on with my day.
3. I freelance part time in writing/communications, and am in SAHM mode with my DD 2-3 days a week.
4. It hasn't really yet, except that the last couple of months have been rather unproductive when it comes to non-essential projects since I was feeling so sick during most of first tri and napping in the afternoon on my DD's daycare days.
1. How far along are you? 38 weeks, 2 days. I had to double check to make sure that was right, lol.
2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? Actually feeling kind of decent? I'm getting around to reading all of those pregnancy books I bought early on since it's the waiting game now.
3. What do you do for a living? I work in marketing for a large company.
4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life? I am fortunate to be able to work from home, which I have been doing 100% for the past 2 weeks. Normally I will go in the office 2-3x per week just to interact with real humans. I have a lot of coworkers on the west coast and overseas which is going to be interesting once I return from maternity leave and will have to decline those 5pm, 6pm, 7pm conference calls.
1. How far along are you? 2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? 3. What do you do for a living? 4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life?
1. 13+1
2. This past week I finally feel like I have been on mistakable little belly. I go between trying to suck it and like normal and then realizing that it is pointless and just letting it hang out. I'm definitely at that awkward in between stage.
3. Before I had my first baby last year I was a nurse and I still work but it's only very occasionally now. For the most part I am a stay-at-home mom. When I do work I work in geriatric long-term care.
4. My coworkers at my job don't actually even know that I'm pregnant yet because I haven't worked since about five weeks. I'm looking forward to telling everyone the next time I go in. As far as being a stay-at-home mom, being pregnant and doing this job is hard. I lack a lot of the motivation I used to have and it takes a lot more mental energy to be productive. I feel like I might be slowly moving out of the extra tired phase which is going to be great. And I cherish any alone time I can get even more now.
1. How far along are you? 18 weeks today 2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? I feel like I have felt the baby move a few times a day (with exception of 1 or 2 days last week) but my doc is convinced it's way too early. Regardless, I really hope to feel it consistently very soon!
3. What do you do for a living? HR Recruiter 4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life? In general, I have been more tired. It's been something really fun and awesome to put a focus on. It's a dream come true...it really is. It's been fun to see DH get excited about it. My family is very excited. I've found myself strangely more private about it in real life than I anticipated....like it's so precious for just me and DH. I've had to close the door to my office then close my eyes for about 20 minutes most days at work. Dance is affected because my concentration and focus are understandably on baby. I won't be competing again until the kid had started 1st grade...which is fine by me!
1. How far along are you? 15 weeks tomorrow 2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? Telling my boss tomorrow. I guess I'm ready for the whole world to know, but I'm not ready for the comments, advice, questions, etc from the people in my office. 3. What do you do for a living? Banking 4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life? Well I'm considerably less active than I used to be, and all I can do is obsess over food in an effort to keep nausea at bay.

1. How far along are you? 29 weeks this week 2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? H and I got a lot of stuff done in the nursery this weekend. We hung most of the artwork and he built the dresser/changing table. Also, tomorrow is my gestational diabetes test during the day (which I'm nervous about) and our first hospital mini-marathon class (which I'm excited about)! 3. What do you do for a living? I work in clinical strategy for a health plan 4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life? I'm more easily distracted, but other than that it hasn't really. I still feel fine to travel when needed and my boss is totally understanding.
2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? I just found out my next door neighbor is pregnant and due 4 days before me. I adore her and am so excited to be pregnant together.
3. What do you do for a living? I stay at home with our 2 yr old.
4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life? My only main symptom so far is fatigue, so it's only affecting how much I feel like running around chasing my daughter.
I'm exhausted! I have no energy to do anything right now. I have had waves of nausea and got sick a little bit this morning. I'm hoping that I can make it through the week without anything happening at work.
I work in Sales for a hotel.
So far it hasn't affected work and it really shouldn't.
We are getting ready for the baby. Nursery is pretty much done and the car seat base is installed. I am growing impatient for this kid to get here. Especially because of the swelling.
3.) I am a freelancer and work part time at a local yarn store. (I am a knitter)
4.) It's been hard for the freelance part, because I have been tired and foggy when it comes to applying for work and doing that work efficiently. The yarn store comes with it's own set of complications in the form of little old women who have no filter and no sense of personal boundaries. Yay. Lol.
2. Pregnancy vents / randoms / AWs? I am ready for this baby to get here! Starting to get more random aches and pains - like today it hurts to straighten my right elbow, in addition to the hip and back aches. Nursery is as done as it can be without the dresser arriving. I may lose my shit on the phone with Pottery Barn again this week (spent over an hour on the phone with a bunch of different people last week) if they can't find the dresser I ordered MAY 3rd.
3. What do you do for a living? Real Estate
4. How has your pregnancy affected your job/life? Job wise, things are slow at work right now so it's been the perfect time. My workload has definitely not been full time and I've been able to work from home most days. Life wise, I have been dropping my gym visits lately. After hurting myself in yoga last week, I may be done with the gym for a little while. Which makes me sad because I worked out until I gave birth during my last pregnancy. Oh well!
