I live in a HCOL area, or maybe if's MCOL. It feels HCOl when I talk daycare.
Anyway, I pay $585 a week for 2 kids in daycare - full time/5 days a week. That's with a 10% discount for having 2 kids at the center.
When H is off work, DS will be in school only part-time. It's $161/week for 3 half days.
This does not include a mandatory extra fee for "summer camp" or any of their other optional programs like their cooking classes ($50 a month) or special phonics/math programs ($125/month). We do none of those things but I always feel guilty because it seems like all the parents sign their kids up. And DS has asked a few times about doing phonics because he likes the teacher. I always say, do you want to learn phonics now or go to college later? But I digress. LOL.
My kid is 15 months and is currently at a center. We pay $680 a month for 3 days a week. I believe it's right around $850 for full time. It depends so much on location and even the center. We look at a couple places that were up to $150 cheaper a month.
MCOL (Atlanta burbs), around $250-$285 per week at centers (6:30am-6pm) for infants full time, BYO diapers/wipes. It gets slightly cheaper as they get older.
