One that I keep and have re-read several times is The Broke Diaries by Angela Nissel. Not well-known, but make me LOL at least once per read-through.
Divergent series. Harry Potter. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
I can't think of any other particulars, but I have a few full shelves so there must be some I'm forgetting. Mostly, I go to Goodwill and used bookstores and grab whatever looks good.
You know what looks fabulous on a bookshelf? The hardcover clothbound editions of penguin classics, like Jane Austen's Persuasion. There are a ton of them, they've even done children's favorites like Anne of Green Gables and Peter Pan. It makes me happy to see them on my bookshelf.
Er. I think "lol" is just a placeholder for me now. Like absently saying "like" in a sentence IRL.
No I meant they'd just be shipped too! Lol.
Hahah but they wouldn't be my first editions! They'd just be some paperbacks from amazon and I wouldn't worry about them bursting into flames as they made their way across the country.
I stopped buying actual books when I got my kindle. I have some of my favorites left, but honestly, it wouldn't be on my list of immediate things to replace. So, an e-reader?
I have an iPad, but I actually missed having real books. Also, I have a literal empty bookcase to fill, haha.

What kind of books do you like? I can bring you some! Then we can smoke together.
I really like sci-fi fantasy! But I also love memoirs, historical fiction, and like bubble gum chick lit.
AND. My home is furnished now, so you are welcome to come smoke anytime!!!
Okay, for sci-fi, I'd recommend anything by Octavia Butler or Ursula Le Guin.
For memoir, Just Kids (about Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe) is amazing and heartbreaking. I also really liked Pattie Boyd's memoir Wonderful Tonight, about her marriages to George Harrison and Eric Clapton. It's not written nearly as well as Just Kids, but it did confirm my beliefs that George > Eric
Historical fiction: I really liked All Other Nights by Dara Horn, about a Union spy sent inside Confederate lines (based on real people). Also anything, anything by Geraldine Brooks - my favorite is People of the Book.
My bookshelf: Harry Potter, Outlander series, Game of Thrones series, a bunch of historical fiction (Sharon Kay Penman is my favorite), a bunch of Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child.
