These were not our real FPs. I was just playing around with it so when I do book our actual FP I don't mess it up. And hopefully can inform my family of the details so they don't mess it up either. I deleted them all and released them back into the system when I was done.
Oh good! How did you get to play with them if it's not time to book them?
Our tickets are linked in the system so I just tried for something in the next 30 days.

londoncalling & abs - do you know if we have to be present for the delivery/pick up or is this something the resort front desk will help with? We're arriving on a Sunday afternoon & leaving on Friday morning, I'm just wondering if I could schedule delivery & pick up for our arrival/departure day even though we might not technically be on site at that time. We'll be staying at the Contemporary.

The desk will handle delivery and pick up. They have a BIG list of the major stroller companies and you just pick up and return to bell services. We arrived, checked in, and were told that our stroller was waiting at bell services. It was SO incredibly easy.

So if you are arriving on Sunday afternoon at say 3pm, I would schedule your stroller delivery for 1 pm, or something, and schedule your pick up time on Friday whenever you think you are going to be leaving the resort. You just have to take the stroller to bell services a little in advance of your scheduled pick up time. But you don't have to be there at all.

Are you bringing a tula or anything or is your DS going to walk the whole time? At 3.5, I'd be prepared for him to be pretty tuckered. Lu (5.5) hung in there until 10:30pm our first day at DL but DH needed to carry her a few blocks back to the hotel. Ella spent a good amount of time in the stroller.Â
Planning to bring the Ergo. This reminds me I need to try it out this weekend, we haven't used it in a while so I need to make sure it's still a feasible option.
We're also not planning full days in the parks, he'll never make it & neither will we. We will go back to our hotel around 1/2pm each day. Well only go back into the parks if we're feeling up to it, otherwise we'll go to the pool or do some other resort activities.
I would definately get a stroller. dd just turned 4 when we went and she wouldn't have made it without one. Like a pp said even from the parking lot yo the ttc center was a hike.

Perfect, thank you!
I promise you that for all the money that you are spending for Disney, renting a stroller as insurance will be a drop in the bucket. Just the walk between the Contemporary and MK is far enough to justify it at the end of the day when everyone's hot and tired.
They should make adult strollers. H and I could have taken turns pushing each other around.
This reminds me of the time I went to Epcot when I had just broken my foot the week before. My BF at the time pushed me around all day in a wheelchair because I couldn't manage the crutches yet, and it actually wasn't half bad!

For real! There's always that point when you're in the world showcase and you need to take a break. And it's just SO FAR to the bus stop. When we don't have kids, we just sit down and drink.
This is generally in Germany, Japan, or the US for us. You're so tired and you look all they way across the lake that you have to walk around and you rationalize that you aren't really THAT tired, but maybe you should get a drink and some chocolates/pastry, and just "people watch" for what turns into 2 hours while you nap with your eyes open.

This thinking really burned us on our last trip. We would be like "ehhhh maybe we don't need to go back. Let's stop for ice cream and move along". 2 hours later it's very apparent you should have taken a break, but now it's so late in the day, leaving and coming back isn't worth it. So everybody leaves crabby.
Agreed. That damn lagoon just seems so daunting when you have to go all.the.way around it LOL.
This time we did exit Epcot before we even started in the World Showcase and returned for a really nice evening.

Last time I swear to god I ran that thing TWICE.
It was me DMIL DFIL DH & DS. DMIL and DFIL walk at a freaking SNAILS pace. FOR REAL. So we are in like Africa/ Outpost and a FP for Illuminations pops up on MDE BUT it is my fourth of the day so I have to run back to the kiosk SO the kiosks then were only in FW. SO I leave them in the Outpost and RUN to the Kiosks. FP plusses are GONE by the time I get there, BUT the character meet and greets have a 5 minute wait so I text DH and he says they are in Germany so I RUN back to Germany and I guess MIL saw something she wanted back in Mexico and had to go get it so the TOOK THE BOAT to Mexico. SO I RAN TO MEXICO and when I get there MIL and FIL are too tired and won't walk back to the characters with us and WILL NOT split up GRRRRR GRRRRR GRRRRR. So we all take the boat back to Germany and I got some caramel and walked over to the bridge between France and England to stake out fireworks spots and pout. BOO. Also tired.

Good lord, no. At least you got some caramel out of it. I would have stayed in Mexico with a whole lot of tequila and been "caught in the crowds".
I have a question! We have dinner reservations at BOG for Sunday night. That's our "big day" at MK. Should I cancel those (I'm not super invested in BOG) and find a sit down meal for lunch so we get a break? Or just do something QS?
(Big day meaning getting there in the AM and seeing how long everyone lasts lol).
I really like the BOG dinner, so I'd keep it.
IME the MK QS food (other than BOG lunch) is pretty terrible, especially the kids meals.

What time is your BOG reservation?
Could you do a MK rope drop and plan for a mid day break, return for evening rides and your reservation, and stay for fireworks?
I think our BOG reservation is 545 or something. We are doing the rope drop/midday break/return for evening rides on Friday, so I wasnt sure if we wanted to do that twice at MK
In other news, exactly 4 weeks to go!
It's hard because you have to miss Fantasy of Festival if you go back to the room, and yet, with the HEAT and crowds and two young kids I would take the break.
IF your kids will stroller nap, it's nice to take a break on the monorail? make the loop and stop at the resorts and maybe grab lunch at one.
I pack (in a waterproof bag) ponchos (that fold up very very small) snacks refillable water bottle wallet phone sunscreen diapers and wipes (DS) extra shorts (DS) chapstick autograph book

This is tough. The Festival of Fantasy parade (3pm) is amazing and a must-do. I'd try to stay through the break one day just to see it.
You may be able to move your BOG earlier if you keep checking, or they may let you be seated early.

Where do Friday and Sunday fall in your overall vacation? Beginning/middle/end? What's your plan for Saturday.
That would guide me on how much I would push on Friday and Sunday.

@mrsbecky
I enjoyed BOG, but realistically I think that it may be better to try and get a reservation at the Plaza for lunch, get in some air conditioning and some downtime, and try and stay through FoF parade and then be able to head out whenever you get tired. That way you can get back to your resort, rest, swim, and have a lower key evening since it's smack dab in the middle of your trip.
I don't think pushing it to possibly exhaust yourself is worth BOG TBH.
okay londoncallingchilerellanos that is what I was thinking. I was reading on some blogs that BOG for dinner is just not all that, and DS hasnt seen Beauty and the Beast so really I think it would be more for me than for anyone else, lol. I would rather DS watch the parade than try to squeeze in another sit-down meal.
@savestheday we are at Art of Animation so we will probably eat some meals there.
Thanks for the input ladies!!
and with that, MY MAGIC BANDS JUST ARRIVED!!!!!
You can do CS there. Do you need another sit down meal ( like for dining credits) ? It might be a nice night to just chill at the pool if you can.
