I have a lot of friends that love it out there for young families. I mean, I'd hate it because I'm a total city girl, but quite a few love it. We have a few local board people who live in GVR and seem to like it too, but their kids are in montessori.
I know a lot of people love it, but there is some shit underground there and knowing what "remediation" they did, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Thanks guys, I've been reading. I'm learning so much already lol.
Honestly, most of Denver is great. It's pretty much safe anywhere and there are very few places I wouldn't live. Traffic can suck and it's expensive, but it's gorgeous and clean and full of awesome people.
I'd look for something off of E470, depending on where in Centennial you'll be working. It is stupid how skinny and long that town is.
Actually, where in Centennial would you be? This could help us a ton in figuring a commute out for you. If you're in west Centennial, that would be a game changer.
I just looked up the address and I'm actually going to be in Englewood.
Do you know major cross streets? Englewood had old and new parts which range across a large part south of Denver. I live in old Englewood but work near newer Englewood.
I'd also recommend staying at a Residence Inn and committing to daily shopping for apartments where you're ready with an immediate deposit to secure a place. There's a R.I. just off Speer on the west side of I 25 within view of downtown that would be a good in between location while you search.
