I just finished Star Island by Carl Hiaasen about a half hour ago. Really fun, breezy read.
I'm about to start another Jo Nesbo book, The Snowman. The first book of his I read was a bit of a disappointment but I'm trying again because this one is pretty well reviewed by comparison.

Which one did you read before? I like all of them but the Snowman is definitely his biggest hit
Spilling Clarence by Anne Ursu. I am enjoying it. It's about a town in which pharmaceutical factory has a spill and it begins to affect everyone's memories -- they start remembering everything, even the stuff you try to forget. It had been on my radar for a very long time. In my imagination it was recommended by Sassy magazine a thousand years ago, but the pub date doesn't fit the memory.

How to Tell Toledo From the Night Sky - it's good. Quirky, but a bit too self-aware. It's kind of a Big-Bang-Theory type romance. Two childhood BFFs decide they want their children to be soulmates. So with some astrology witchery, and purposeful upbringing, they separately raise one boy and one girl, both physicists/astronomists, to eventually meet as adults and fall in love.

I'm in the middle of a bunch of books right now. I seem to get stuck on book 3 in trilogies.
I'm a few chapters into Into the Still Blue (book 3 in the Under the Never Sky series). I loved the first two books, but so far this book is feeling stale.
I've been meaning to read Allegiant (book 3 of Divergent) ever since it came out. I just watched the Insurgent movie, so I'm feeling a renewed interest in finishing the series -- even though I've heard the third book is disappointing.
I also just bought Gone Girl because I caught a bit of the movie, decided I wanted to watch it, but I won't watch it until I've read the book. I'm at least 2-3 years late on this one, I know!
i just finished Everything I Never Told You by Celeste ng I thought it was extremely depressing. It made me so sad reading it. However it was well written, just not a great read for my current mood!
I am now reading The Husbands Secret by Liane Moriarty. I am only a few pages in
I'm about 100 pages into The Book Thief. I feel like this is the kind of story that I want to read slowly and savor, so it's taken me a week to get this far. Too many external distractions!
It's hilarious. It was a total impulse purchase - I was looking for a new audiobook, and it was one of the banners on the audible app. So I checked out the amazon rating saw it wasn't horrible and got it.
It's creepy and funny and well-written. The narration is top-class.
