I found one of my favorite shirts from DD1 that I wanted DD2 to wear. My MIL offered to help organize the rest of my girl clothes and now I can't find that top. I have less than 1 month to probably wear it because of my dumb Midwest cold state. She remembers seeing it but not what she did with it.
Our contractor is taking for-fucking-ever and it makes me rage, but my business partner has a more complicated relationship with him (they own another building together), so she's in charge of the communication and is much more patient than I am.

The scale is still not moving...Im working out a lot, but DH loves going to get ice cream in the summer. And so do I. Damn it. I have no will power to ice cream.
I've taken more than 14,000 steps today due to a long morning hike and just logged an hour on the cross trainer at the gym for another 5.5 miles and 544 calories. The scale better move tomorrow.
My husband is helping a friend today and it's our anniversary.
It's really volunteer work and I shouldn't complain bc it's nice of him but But my kids are annoying as shit today. He and a friend are building something for a small Christian school that the friends wife works at.
DH just complained to me about how Ds is going to bed later now and it cuts into his personal and homework time. Yeah I know dude. Mine too and I'm with him all day long. I can't make him go to sleep earlier and I refuse to spend an hour or more pleading with him to gtfts. His solution? I do bedtime while he gets started on homework. No. That doesn't mean you get to skip out on bedtime. Wtf. And when we have a new baby in 4 months? Lol forever DH.
DH is a bit of an eeyore and at times it really grates on me. Today we were out running errands and passed a great Thai and sushi restaurant that he goes to for lunch occasionally. And then he bitched about how sick of it he is, he doesn't even enjoy it anymore because they've been going there SO OFTEN. While you know, I'm at home eating pb&js or a frozen burrito for lunch most days.
Bitch, save us the $15 you spend on lunch everyday and pack if you aren't going to throughly appreciate it.
I'm pmsing and generally sick of everyone's shit today. I should just go sit in a room by myself lol.
Last year, my ILs were pushing us really hard to plan a Disneyworld vacation (with DD and them) for winter break. I had NO interest since we did a big CA trip the year before. But since they were SO pushy/enthusiastic about it, with potential financial backing, we came up with 2 plans (2 price points) - REALLY good deals, too. After I got jazzed about the plans they said, "nope". SO ANNOYING!!! Yes, you don't have to do Disney or fork over money for us, BUT WHY LET ME GET EXCITED ABOUT IT???
Some lady at church I've never met had the balls to be like "what's that all about?" re: P's constraint wrap. I still suck at concisely answering those questions. Also MYOB.
We stopped at Whole Foods to buy picnic food to try to save money vs. going out to lunch. Yeah, $60 for 3 adults and 2 babies.
@bunnybean, I'm a travel enabler but I would not skip out on the fun of Disney with a cast member relative!! We went a few years ago when a friend worked there (way before kids) and only spent a few hundred dollars on it. Don't make this your go big or go home make all the memories trip. Drive down there. Stay in one of the value hotels for a long weekend with her discount. See if you can get main gate passes for two days (I have no idea how many she gets, I think they've reduced it since my friend worked there, or how many other people she might be wanting to share them with), and only do those two days at the parks. Spend another day or two driving out to the beach, maybe stay an extra day or two in the hotel and spend the daytime at the pool or going around to the other non-park Disney stuff. Don't do any character meals. Cora is free! You can go back when she's old enough to remember!
My ILs let my SIL purchase our flight tickets every time we go out to see them (and by that I mean they give her their card number and she picks out the flights). It annoys the fuck out of me. I am so grateful that they pay for our trip, but goddammit. Why does my SIL get to pick what time we fly? We fly from Cincinnati to Atlanta to Seattle tomorrow. WTF? 1.5 hours to Atlanta, 5.5 hours to Seattle. I'm pissed. The flight here was only 4.5 hours (although, it was a freaking red eye). That extra time really makes a difference with my kids. They are going to lose their little minds. I might lose mine too. I still haven't forgiven SIL for booking us on mother effiging SPIRIT four years ago.

My mom apparently emailed me a kohl's gift card for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. She had kind of mentioned maybe doing that, but nothing came. This morning I asked about it and it wasn't in my email or junk. She asked Kohl's and they resent it- still never got it. Ugh. I just want the stupid gift card so I can order a Fitbit with my birthday money!
I just bought a clek fllo car seat and DS2 vomited in it on our second trip. Good news, it does clean as easily and well as it purports.
What lottery did I win to get two kids who get terribly car sick all the time and refuse to sleep at night?
I won that lottery too! DD has christened both of her convertible car seats by puking in them the very first time. In fact we bought the second one because she puked in the first one, I took it apart and cleaned it, and then I couldn't put it back together.
For the last 3 weeks, cleaning puking car seats has been part of my weekend routine. And countless times before that.
But what I'm going to complain about is I have this throat thing since last Saturday that won't go away. It currently hurts to swallow but the symptoms change every day. This past week was laryngitis on Tuesday and Wednesday. That was not fun. I get this throat thing like almost every year. It lingers for weeks and takes forever for my body to clear it and I always have a nagging cough. Ugh.

Yup, DD took a massive shit also like the second time riding in it and poop water puddles collected in the bottom plastic part. That was fun to clean!!! But yes, the fabric cleaned easily and it doesn't smell.
