E has been beyond adorable for the last 12 hours. I don't know what's up, but I'll take it.
I barely slept last night. We are signing the counter offer paperwork today and I hope the buyer takes it. Then again, this is only day 4. But ugh, too many things to consider.
Whoa - you got an offer already?! Good for you! All of the work you put in must be paying off. I hope it works out, and if not, I'm sure you'll have another bite shortly thereafter.
Trying to will myself to get out of bed. It's not going well at the moment, ha!
I need to move DS out of the Rock n Play. We got him out of swaddles and into a Zipadee Zip, but haven't gotten him to the crib. I hope we haven't waited too long.
We might try to switch to the convertible seat today, but only if DH can find a parking spot for the rental car before we load up and go. Neither of us is up for attempting the installation while the car is double-parked in front of our building. Also, it feels like it's a two-person job, so I imagine we'll bring DS out and have him strapped in the stroller on the sidewalk while we install the seat?
This is one of several reasons I want to just buy a car. The idea of installing the seat once and being done is dreamy. But cost-wise, we are about even right now when you factor in gas & insurance (our Zipcar membership covers both) and the cost of parking in a garage.

Got one last night! We were surprised it was so fast.
Day 3 of my vertigo. I'm gonna be pissed if we have to cancel our weekend plans. Thank God I have a flexible job.
The fourth season of Chuggington is kind of awful.
Hope you feel better soon!
DS loves that show! We only watch it on Netflix and I'm not sure if we've seen season 4 yet.
We watch on Netflix too. The three trainees go into their apprenticeships and they get rid of the majority of the supporting cast and introduce new characters. I don't find them as compelling.
I'm way overinvested in this show. DS doesn't really even watch it - he likes the opening credits songs and that's about it. I need to find a YouTube compilation of kid show jingles.
We needed bubbles so I took Ds to Walmart yesterday. I walked around for 20 min searching and could only find tiny bottles on clearance. A nice cs lady tried to help me, she asked another lady who was so snotty. "They are in the toy section". Yes we looked there. "Well then we are out, it's a seasonal item we dont restock those"
It is mid August. Are you kidding me?? Prime example of why I haaaaaate that store so much. Didn't help that Ds was like "mama where are the bubbles? Bubbles? I can't find them! Mama you said we could get bubbles!" The entire time, ugh.
I found some easily at another store and stocked up. But so so annoying.

Is it the last season they have on Netflix? Because I didn't like that one.
Have you watched Peppa Pig? There are full episodes/seasons on Netflix and DS really likes the songs. Especially if you snort when they do.
DS only slept another half an hour after I fed him at 5 this morning. What is going on with his sleep lately? Yesterday he was awake from 6 am to 8:30 pm with only a few short cat naps thrown in there.
I have my post-partum check up today. I'm not looking forward to getting weighed. I'm so mad at myself because I gained a bunch of weight AFTER I gave birth. I used breastfeeding and the fact that I had GD as an excuse to eat everything under the sun.
DD is still sleeping, more than an hour past her normal wake time. It's nice, but I'm also concerned she might be sick. I should just let her sleep, right?

Yes, the last set of shows on Netflix are season 4. We'll have to give Peppa Pig a try next. I think we'll hit the end of Chuggington on Monday.
Our attempt at N's first Lions game last night was a bust. N was so good through dinner, and on the walk from where we parked, but when we got to the stadium, I was reminded that I couldn't bring my purse in. Whoops! Since we parked 1/2 mile away, by the time we got back to the car, we just decided to go home since it was already half time (we got there late due to traffic). At least it was a nice night to be downtown and walking around?
DD's kindergarten class list was finally posted last night, I had been obsessively checking all day. There are three classes and we know four other incoming kindergarteners. 3/4 are in her class, a neighbor, a girl from last year's dance class, and a girl from her soccer team last spring. I am beyond relieved. She's going to have so much fun.
We have just a few days of summer left so I'm really trying to make it fun. We went to a great park yesterday and the weather is supposed to be so nice, warm but not too humid, that we may try out another one today. I'm getting the baby's nap in early and I think I'm going to try and organize the boys clothes. He's been a bit wheezy so that's troubling. This weekend is jam packed, I should really get the house organized.
M excitedly announced this morning " I am not scared of the carwash" so H took him to the carwash. Guess who is still scared of the carwash. Which is very ironic because he is obsessed with them, builds them with his blocks and points them out every time we drive by one. Strange little bugger.
Had such a beautiful run this morning. I love running at the beach.
My kids woke up in the early 6 o'clock hour all damn summer. But literally the day school started they have both been sleeping in until at least 7am. This morning I woke them up at 715am. We need to leave the house by 7:55 to walk DS1 to school.
I've been enjoying the bit of extra quiet time in the mornings, but then once they so wake up things are so crazy and rushed latlely.
I'm so glad I got the 'ok to wake' clock, it really works for DS. I heard him moving around in his bed and mummering to himself around 5:45, but he did NOT call for us. At 6:01am he said "mommy! My clock is green!" Huzzah to NOT having to get out of bed at 5:45!
Lately DS has been coming out like 15 minutes early to use bathroom. Then he just goes back to his room till the light changes even if I tell him he can stay in our room. It cracks me up.
On another note, I scheduled DS newborn hearing test. They told me he has to sleep through the test, which I don't remember from last time. They told me to make sure he is sleep deprived. Umm probably not gonna happen lol. Hopefully I can get him to sleep

I think it's helped us too. DS hasn't woken at 5:30am in weeks (!!!!). Sometimes he wakes before the clock, but we make him wait until it turns green (6:15am).
Last night I was so frustrated with everything: my messy house, my miserable job and miserable 3 hour a day commute, the fact that we have been watching too much TV because we're too tired to do anything else, and my frustration that friends on facebook appear to be living out their dreams. After H and J went to bed I cleaned the house for an hour and then went online and bought the Whipping Post tote I've been lusting after, 2 tea cups I saw on a blog a while back that I keep thinking about, and a replacement reusable cat box liner which I'm hoping will make me stop wondering why my laundry room always smells like pee even with a clean cat box. The semi clean house and the purchases have made me feel so much better, and I think I'm going to propose instituting a no tv on weekdays rule.
Ugh, been waiting almost an hour at the doctor for my postpartum exam. I'm sitting in the cold exam room with no pants on. The ILs are watching DS and I was hoping to run some errands after my appointment. Now I don't know if I'll have the time.
Apparently, DS is into puzzles! He wasn't interested in the ones at home, so I just assumed he couldn't do them yet. Then I picked up at daycare yesterday and he's going to town on a bunch of M&D puzzles by himself.
Cue me then wanting to buy ALL the M&D chunky wooden puzzles so he has them at home. If anything is in the slightest bit educational, then I classify it as a need instead of a want. I need to find a balance between spoiling vs. having helpful/enriching items to have on hand. As in, I should probably just buy maybe a 3 pack to start, not every puzzle available through Amazon oh and hey, here's a wire stacking rack for your 20 new puzzles.
