I just got on here to say that I am sad about this. The man lived in the same county as I and taught special education students at a local school. On FB, I frequently post dog pictures from the humane society where I sometimes volunteer and walk the dogs. The guy who died is from the same town.
I know that it was not the smartest decision, but even before I knew that it was someone from our county and in the same profession I felt a little bad when a person on my FB feed was really disparaging him. What's the point? And honestly, a lot of people who would go all knee-jerk "oh, he's so stupid for trying to get something" are the same people who can't go through a meal, family gathering, or anything else without texting or using the damn cellphone. Our local article said that he was retrieving a cellphone.
Well the upside here is that I'd much rather be killed by a roller coaster than baked in a tuna oven. So there's that.
At least in a tuna oven, it's a private death. I have a phobia of dying in a gruesome public way. And of my remains having to be scraped off the ground. This roller coaster thing is pretty much my worst nightmare.
So first I agreed with sangria, but reading this I agree with you, maybe? Or how about both are too horrifying to contemplate so I'd prefer to die asleep in my bed an old, old woma, Titanic-style. Please and thank you! Or hell, even freezing to death Titanic-style would be better.
Random pointless anecdote: The day after HS graduation a bunch of us went to Cedar Point and the Raptor was brand new. On the first ride of the day, the guy who drove failed to secure his keys and out they fell. Of course they tell us we had to wait until after closing when they walk the track. So for the next 8 hours we had to listen to this douche bitch and moan and make statements like I'm pretty sure I know where I felt them fall, I'm just gonna hop the fence and look, I swear I'm gonna, etc etc. No, badass, you're not. And this is why!

You sort of have to wonder if he heard the tragic news this am. Dumbass. This poor man & his poor family I can't imagine the heartbreak of mentally picturing this image, as much as they don't want to.
