How was your weekend? Tell me all the things!
My weekend was really good.
Friday night we stayed in and watched a movie. Saturday I had a riding lesson and then we went and test drove cars. I think I have it narrowed down to two. Then we went to a criterium, which was awesome! Sunday I went to a SUP brunch. Then we ran errands and relaxed.
Fun weekend. Went to a friend's pool on Saturday. Went to our community pool yesterday and caught up w/ some friends who were on vacation last week.
And today I have DS and a friend of his here all day (last week of summer, no summer camp available. Friends helping friends out this week!) and another friend of his is coming over in a couple hours. I'VE BEEN AWAKE SINCE 3:30!!!!!!! Lord help me. I'm on cup #2 as I type this.

I had a good weekend! I feel like I didn't do a lot, but it was restful. I had a hair appt Saturday (I haven't had any like relaxing self-care stuff since...February?) and while I was there, bit the bullet and scheduled a thing I've been wanting for a while, which is that I'm going to add some fun colors to some of the under strands of my hair so it'll be sort of hidden and sort of peek through. So, that's in like a week and a half and I'm excited. Also spent like 2-3 hours cleaning one bathroom and I feel accomplished.
Oh and I mentioned this on another board but today is the last day DS has day care which means I am not going to have to pay for it anymore. My work day usually ends at 2:30 so I'll be home when he gets off the bus after school at 3:15 ish. This is a glorious day for me and for my bank account.
I can't tell if I'm catching a cold or if my allergies are going insane today. I'm in that phase where it feels like it could go either way, but it's mid-August in the Ohio River valley so allergies are a strong possibility today. Ugh, so humid and thick outside.
"This prick is asking for someone here to bring him to task Somebody give me some dirt on this vacuous mass so we can at last unmask him I'll pull the trigger on it, someone load the gun and cock it While we were all watching, he got Washington in his pocket."
We did laundry and just hung out Saturday, then went to Church yesterday. DS#1 has a special bond with the infant son of our Pastor--they adore each other. DS#1 was drawing all the babies to him yesterday. We then dropped something off to my department chair's house, all three kids got sad that he wasn't home LOL. Then home, did some yardwork (DD mowed the lawn!), the kids played with the neighbor boys in the evening and built a fort. I asked WG if he wanted my extra ticket to the tennis tournament since wowhead is sick ( ;( ) but he can't go because he has plans.
My weekend was good, even though my Friday date cancelled. I went to the Anthro birthday celebration and bought 3 things. It's part of my plan to slowly upgrade my wardrobe. Friday guy (chef) has been very apologetic since and is trying fairly hard.
Saturday I got a massage, had a coffee date, and went to dinner with my parents. Coffee date was cuter in person than his photos and it was a very nice time.
Yesterday my mom ran a half marathon, so I watched her do that, did things around the house for a while, then later in the day ran errands and eventually met up with my friends at the diner for our weekly dinner.
Now I'm up because I have a training to attend. Should be good, but I'm still grumpy about it.
I did something to my back yesterday morning when I went to stand up from a bent over position drying myself off after a shower and OMFG it hurts.
It sucks getting older.
Otherwise my weekend was good. In am prepping right now for a 4 hour midterm that I need to take sometime today but am not feeling too motivated at the moment.
mags, I'm liking the fun you had, not your back pain!
And, I think I'm taking your advice and passing on the VW. I really liked the Tiguan, but I'm scared with the reliability reports for them.
I like the Tiguan as well, but I am glad you are passing.
I hated the Mazda, lol. Liked the BMW but don't like how much it is to own. The surprise of the day was the Toyota Venza. It wasn't on my list but they had one where we test drove the Mazda. P suggested I test drive it and I actually loved it. It is the Limited edition so it felt as posh as the BMW with half of the costs to own. I'm going back to drive it again tonight as well as a Subaru Forester. If I don't love the Forester, I think the Venza is the winner winner chicken dinner!
I had a great weekend. Friday was pretty chill at home.
Saturday was really productive, killer yoga class, then I bought frames for my house, balloons and cupcakes for my friends birthday. That night was an awesome girls night, we ate so much and chatted. I think my friend really had a good birthday.
Sunday yoga again and a bike ride for brunch. We went to a new place and it was really good. Then I came home and had an epic fail. I painted that stencil on my wall. Didn't like it and painted it over. blerg.
