I'm so pissed at myself. I drove to Albany last night because I thought this meeting started at nine as the meeting invite was from 9a-5p. There were several emails regarding this meeting and I just found one that said it doesn't start until noon. Dammit. I could have stayed home last night. This also annoys me because I thought it would be over at noon and therefore I'd be home around 3pm.
Sleepy Hollow (season 3) is filming about 15 minutes away from my house H had to take an alternate route to work today because they closed down some of the streets in the downtown area. We've been texting back and forth all morning, trying to figure out what was filming. I finally asked him if there were any yellow and black signs around, and he told me yes and that they said "SH". He confirmed with a security guard that it was Sleepy Hollow.
I don't even watch the show. I just had fun solving the mystery
My date with the chef is tonight. My plan for the day today is to go to a coffee shop and read. Since I bought two new books yesterday on my kindle. So excited!

I'm feeling sad panda today. No good reason, just down. I think I need sleep, but it's not coming easily these days. Stress is high in almost every aspect of my life, and rest is low. I need to find a better balance.
I had so much fun celebrating yesterday. My H made dinner (super fancy grilled cheese sandwiches and a pasta salad) The best part was the guava berry coladas that he made with some of our Guavaberry liquor from St. Marteen that we'd been saving. They are sooooooo good.

One of my friends, who now lives in the middle of nowhere in WI, has bought a house in my area. I'm moving in with her at the end of October.... rent free. I'll pay some utilities but that's it. I'm so, so grateful. It's a gorgeous house - in a suburb farther away from the metro, but I don't mind driving.
She has some family drama (it's complicated because her family is friends with my family, we've known each other since I was 8) and I don't want to potentially end a friendship over something like leaving a dirty dish in the sink for too long. So I want to have a good talk with her about our expectations of each other, loose house "rules", her knowing that I'm not angry with her or avoiding her if I spent most of the night in my room, etc.
She submitted her requests from the inspection to the homeowners a few days ago, so once that is done everything is FINAL. No more apartment with heat I can't adjust and no door on my bedroom! My kitty has more than 450 square feet to explore!
Anyone else get nauseous before their period? No? Just me?
I do, not every month but it's happening more often.
You guys remember me bitching about not feeling good earlier this year (not the cyst but general not feeling well)? I think this is just what it is? A shiney, new PMS symptom, along with boob pain while bouncing down the stairs.

Uuuuuuuuuugh
Just awful. I'm sorry.
And I'm staaarrrving. (that's normal, but weird when you add the nausea)
I'm at a victim services conference until Friday. Thus far I've learned more about human trafficking, how trauma effects the brain and restraining orders for teens. Troubling topics, but my brain is happy to break out of my daily routine. Tonight I'm taking the kids to a torture museum and then to ride some roller coasters!
