Like everybody said, it's so hard to single people out because the whole board is so crazy-worthy of props. But a few that stand out to me...
@vtcupcake is just such a fountain of positivity, encouragement, and damn it just keeping it real sometimes. I often wonder how you have the energy for all that you do and find in yourself for everyone else. You contribute so much to our community, and it is so exciting to watch you become a triathlete and love it!
@cheshire's leaping race photos. I mean. You too are such a positive force here, even when it might not be easy to be.
kams as a triathlete mom (and Ironmom!), and all the other runner moms on the board that make having Hobbes just a little less scary because you are all proof that you don't have to give up all the things you love to be a mom. You just have to prioritize a little more.
Coming back to tag blndsnbrdr. Even though I don't know you very well, some of the words you wrote when you were preparing for RRR have stayed with me. Honestly, so many times I have repeated your words 'give me a chance to fail' in my head when I question whether I can do something. It reminds me that getting out there, giving it a shot and failing is way more badass than the parallel universe in which I sit at home thinking about how I could never do something like this. Thank you for writing that because giving myself permission to possibly fail is so liberating.
To you pregnant ladies who are out there hustling and sweating?? Holy shit I bow down to you guys. Pregnancy instantly turned me into a sickly, bitchy, lazy and angry person. I would have shot fire out of my eyes if anyone dared to suggest I go out for a single run during pregnancy.
osulori -- whenever you post in your blog it pops up in my inbox and I like reading what you're up to! You are a great mommy role model who also balances a busy life and an H with a crazy schedule!
runaways - glad you popped in!! Your perspective is always so good, and I think it reminds many of us how much free time we take for granted. Resident equals a whole different levels of crazy. sadlebred - your wisdom is great. shellfish26 - you always have big dreams, big determination, and awesome encouragement! CallingAllAngels - you always have good things to say & a great perspective. Keep it all. mrshandy -- your strength & improvements are pretty much unreal. Bravo! ebeth - I may have already tagged you, but that's ok. I think you are such an awesome mom to be. skwcm80 - your success over time & encouragement to others is amazing. Your smile is also the best. runblondie26 & cinco & clseale & @taratu I kind of feel are the ultimate mother marathoners shepherding some of the rest of us.
Mushe - you are amazing. And your grace through a hard journey is amazing.
Susie - you are a rockstar & your outdoor hiking prowess & swimming endurance is amazing.
mrs.jacinthe -- you strike me as so giving & helpful. And you swam the GCBS!!
If I didn't tag you I still think the world of you. Either I saw you are already here or I'm just out of brain power at the moment.
I thought of two things from the other thread, so I'm putting them in here to participate in both.
I feel like I need to call out wambam, for all of the crazy shit she does. I love her hoops posts! I love how she jumps into all kinds of different things head-on, just to make H&F interesting.
I also feel like venice2007 needs a shout out. Girl is logging some seriously huge & consistent miles, for no other purpose than to better herself and do something nice for others. Every week she just keeps knocking out those miles to work towards her goal. I'm 75% marathon training, and I have had no where near the consistency or volume that she has had for the first part of this year. It's very inspiring.
ETA: Oh! I'm also giving lb2006 some love. She is just the sweetest, most genuine person you could ever meet. She always cracks me up. She is also the reason that I have been able to meet so many of your wonderful ladies. She rocks.Â

I would like to second venice2007. I am in absolute awe of you.
For reference, I googled to see which cities are 2000 miles apart. Denver to Boston (1991) LA to Birmingham (2078) Miami to Denver (2094) Phoenix to Clevelanf (2052) Salt Lake City to Buffalo (1978)
Everyone on here is wonderful in their own way be it that they are dedicated, speedy, encouraging, etc, etc, etc... I am amazed whenever I meet any of you in person you are equally as nice and humble as you appear on here. I do feel like I need to call out lb2006 for being one of the sweetest and selfless person I have ever met. Not only did she book Kiawah, offer up her home, but she also made an extra trip to the airport to get little old me so I could spend an extra night with my baby.
you are so sweet! I did worry about you - being your first nights away from your baby....only to run a freakishly fast marathon!

does this mean i need to keep texting dog photos? i'm glad we all had the opportunity to meet at Kiawah and hope this tradition continues after Charleston!

I am amazed.
OMG thank you. This is awesome!
My family lives in Michigan 1200 miles away and they've been tracking me on a map showing my nieces and nephews where I'd be if I ran home and part way back!

I love this board. Everyone of you. I'm in awe of the crossfitters-your strength is amazing to me. I barely lift a gallon of milk The marathoners and ultras-you are my dream! You inspire me every post! The tri gals/guy-I only splash in the shallow end of a pool so to swim bike THEN run? I can't even imagine. I've watched all the IM live feeds and I tear up every time. And dr cupcakes iron girl finish pics were awesome And the new people. My favorite posts are new people venturing over to our board, trying out new workouts and becoming veteran posters over here! Keep it up! But seriously I can't wait to meet more of you! You all are my inspiration and I inspire to be all of you! I hope to run with any of you sometime SOON! Only secretlyevil has had the pleasure of hearing my whine they two races! And she still stick with me lol she's awesome! And I hope to run with clseale one day. I feel like we are similar and she's fast so she'd help me speed up And wambam I wanna do any workout with her. She seems fun Also gumi and joenali to both come back from such injuries with such grace and ease is all the inspiration I need!
Aww I love this thread! I've been taking a hiatus because this whole not running thing is making me incredibly jealous of y'all, and now I really can't wait to get back! This board really is the best.
This thread is chock full of warm fuzzies! I am so very glad that I climbed out of my shyness and started posting, because there are some amazing women here! I'm so bummed that I couldn't work it out to do Charleston, but I'll keep trying to do a gtg one day.
I am inspired daily by so many of you! I seriously never thought I could run a marathon, and to have so many of you say "yes you can!" and cheer me on was just amazing.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I love this whole board! I'm a bit of an introvert IRL and I've never had a group of girlfriends. In fact, triguy and I were just saying how I always fit in better with the guys!
But, this board is sooooo great! I wish I could be specific but there is too much! The support is amazing. And the successes are amazing. I love when people share their accomplishments from running their first mile to running an ultra. Personally, my first mile was just as (if not more) meaningful as my first anything else, including Ironman.
The Houston Ks are something special, too. katinthehatfinallykrisb & texassmith. I feel like they have so much FUN together and that spills over onto the board. I love their energy, and am impressed by the way they do it while also being super involved moms and taking care of business.
Yes, we are pretty fun
But really, they are awesome and amazing and I'm so thankful I met them (way back when via TN).
I don't even know how I would have survived this year without these girls. And our fourth member who doesn't get to post much! They've been my life line.
And they rest of you ladies just amaze me. I can't even begin to tag everyone. You are all so dedicated and inspirational.
I haven't logged in for eons...and then I pop in to these notifications! Just, wow.
Thank you so much reginaphalange72 [who knew a random Lady Gaga concert could lead to so much!] + shellfish26 [go get that ultra bug, it'll be amazing!] + kams [thanks for reminding me to use that head on my shoulders!] + ktzmoh. You've seriously made my freaking week!
And I'd like to add a tag for thom -- you're an incredible runner + a legit farm girl with some smarts! I really appreciate your honesty + dedication to what you do in life! More than once I've actually referred to you IRL when talking farm stuff! Oh, and I'm still determined to come to MN and run an ultra, assuming I'll be able to eventually talk you into it. Two years?
As well as Stingyshark -- when you were going through pregnancy + new mom-hood you were brutally honest and straight forward about the experience. While I have no desire to pop out babies any time soon [ever?] I really, really appreciated those posts and that honest! It was refreshing! So, please, keep that coming!
I know I haven't been around a ton lately, but I think it is truly amazing that many of us have managed to hang onto this H&F community for 7+ years! That's insanity!
Big shoutout to @drcupcake for being brilliant, hilarious, and a fantastic virtual cheerleader (Damn it, I can't tag properly on my phone)
Id like to echo this sentiment. I was feeling so unsupported about this race, and @vtcupcake reminded how everyone here supports me. Big hugs all around!

Awww smooches back at ya
I really wish I could go to everyone's races and cheer them on in person, but since neither money trees nor teleportation have been invented yet the least I can do is cheer for y'all on here
And al320, I really don't know where you get all of your energy from, not only to kick ass in all of your sports (I remember when you picked Up swimming a while back and you have just run with it so much and have woven it so well into your running training), be a stellar and funny human being, and keep your head up with all that you've faced recently. You're a freaking rockstar!

Aw, thanks =) I haven't blogged in.. I don't even know how long it's been at this point. I'm way to busy right now, but I update my facebook regularly with Paisley's shenanigans. =)
