How do you organize all the H&F stuff ?

Problem 1) Those tech fabrics are slippery and my H&F clothes drawer is always a disaster because nothing ever stays folded
Problem 2) All the paraphernalia is everywhere - bike gear, running shoes, bike shoes, head lamps, running belts, pull buoys, foam rollers, balls of all radii etc etc etc. It's taking over my living room.

I need a way to organize it all so I don't lose it and it doesn't make my OCD brain explode. What do you guys do? Bonus for pictures!

We are formulating a master plan for our garage, so I was thinking maybe of a cabinet next to where we hang the bikes... maybe a cabinet with bins?

Problem 1: I hang my running tanks and shirts. My shorts and capris are thrown in a drawer. So I'm not much help.

Problem 2: I don't have a solution yet. I have H&F crap spread around the house.

I have a ton of plastic baskets from daiso on shelves... One for sports bras, one for swim suits, one for running shorts, etc

I just fold all my stuff and stack it by type (tanks, short sleeve, long sleeve, capris, shorts, long pants) and put my foam roller and stick on top of them in the closet.

I have a bin that I put all my other stuff i.e. headlamp, gloves, hats, headbands, fuel belts, flip belts. I put this in my coat closet on the shelf so its out of sight but I go thru it and organize it every few months.

I also have a bunch of stuff that lives in my gym/running bag aka my garmin, phone holder, headphones, roadID, spare towel, spare socks, body glide, extra deodorant.

And I have a bin that I put all my gel's, shot blocks, nuun, tailwind, and other nutrition. This sits in a bookshelf makeshift pantry where my fridge used to go.

Gear-arm band, body glides, eat buds, etc in a beverage like plastic bin (like for parties lol) in closet near shoes

Gus, nuuns, bottles, etc in kitchen pantry

I shove all my shirts/ shorts/ yoga pants in the dresser, so not helpful there. I have a drawer for each type of gear.

We each have a box of running stuff, mine is on the left, Mr. GT's is on the right. They used to be separated my summer and winter gear, but it turns out we don't share well.

Lol!!! I just throw all my clothes in a drawer. The watch and iPod sit on an end table, the hays hang on hooks, and the rollers and balls sit in a corner.

I keep current season workout clothes in my regular clothing drawer, and winter workout clothes are in tupperware bins under the bed. The foam roller tries to live in the bedroom closet but is usually really in the living room on the floor with the dog toys, ready to be tripped on and sworn at in the night. Nuun, bottles, chews, etc, in the pantry. I hang my flip belt on a hook in the bathroom with my headbands, to grab before I run out the door.

I have bins on shelves in my closet, and hang my cycling jerseys, jackets, & kits.

We have those customizable racks on the walls of our garage, so I have baskets and hooks next to my hanging bikes: one for swimming stuff, one for cycling stuff. Rollers and yoga mats are under my bed.

My H's wardrobe is 90% dry fit, and his folded clothes storage is A SIGHT! Good heavens, I just have to shut the closet door or I feel panicky.

Oo I love this topic and seeing what other people do! H and I live in a fairly small apartment so we try to keep things organized and together. Our bikes are locked in the parking garage, that helps to not have to keep them in our place

Mosy clothing is in three bins: top is tanks and sports bras, middle is tech shirts and soccer jerseys, bottom is shorts and swim stuff. I also keep capris, tights, and Adidas soccer pants in a regular dresser drawer.


We keep random "supplies" in a laundry bin. This includes balls, mitts, free weights, foam roller, thera-bands, etc.


I also have a backpack for each major sport/activity stored in a long table at our entry. From left to right: my soccer backpack (cleats, shinguards, socks, sunscreen, gloves), swim backpack (cap, ear plugs, towel, flip flops, shower stuff), my bike backpack (helmet, sunglasses, reflective gear), H's bike backpack (same as mine). This was helpful after trying to switch backpacks between activities and inevitably forgetting something.

In all seriousness, most stuff is kept together, but not necessarily neatly. Tops/tanks/shorts go in one drawer, capris/leggings in another. Sports bras go with my regular bras. I hang cycling jerseys and swimsuits. My swim gear stays in my mesh bag in the laundry room, my bike lives in my foyer most days, and my other accessories are in a huge bowl in my dining room. I'm super classy.

1. Bike jerseys, cycling jackets, outdoor jackets, and fitness tops having their own closet.
2. Current Bike shoes and helmets live in my car.
3. Spare bike everything is organized in bins & a rolling cart in the garage according to type. Ex. All "spare bike parts" & dirty/greasy things in one bin, extra soft goods (shoes, helmet, bottles, "clean things") in another bin
4. Spare bike tires, tools, and some flat things go on a small 3 shelf unit.
5. Bikes/wheels/hanging things have their own hanging system.
6. My one pair of walking shoes is in the closet with all of my other shoes.
7. Tights, cycling shorts, & bottoms in one dresser drawer.
8. Socks & small things in another dresser drawer.
9. Spare things and "other" stuff in a different drawer.
10. Horse saddle, my riding boots, show clothes and such have its own closet (shared with other stuff). Horse riding clothes have their own drawer.
11. Old horse tack trunk is on a shelf in the garage. (*cry* It doesn't get used anymore....for right now.)

I hang my shirts. My pants, shorts and running skirts are on a shelf in my closet. Everything else goes in a basket on the shelf, but it's overflowing so I need to get a second one. I only have running gear, though, and I have a large closet.

I have plastic drawer bins in my closet where my workout clothes are folded and stored. The foam roller and my gym bag sit on top.

My gym bag holds my lifting shoes, belt, fuel, wraps, and other items I may need during CrossFit.

I have a basket that sits in a cubby on my media stand in my bedroom. It houses my headphones, running belt, watch, the Chargers, water bottles, and the other smaller items I use for runs.

My shoes go in my closet on the rack which really means just dumped on the rack.

I need a new plastic drawer for my workout socks, bras, and headbands.

Hmm, I just realized my jackets and some other clothes are hanging out in a random spot in my closet. Need to figure that situation out.

For clothes I have a second dresser for all the H&F clothes. Tops in one - sort of divided by tanks, short sleeves, long sleeves. Bottoms - capris and shorts in the another drawer and long pants in the 3rd drawer. Jackets are hung up in a closet. Gear is all over the house. I have one drawer in the house that I try to keep all the misc stuff in and a basket in the garage for bike stuff.

I bought one of those storage ottomans for the end of our bed and have two bins in that...one for swimming/biking, one for running stuff, then all my duffel bags/gym bags and my wet suit (once dry) all goes in there. Downstairs (we are in a townhouse) we have two more bins for cycling stuff and for misc (bands, lacrosse balls, etc.

I keep my wardrobe pretty paired down because we live in a city and are limited on storage space. I don't need all 620 race shirts, although it's hard to part with some of them!

It's usually on the floor in the backseat of my car, in a laundry basket waiting to be put away (but usually gets worn again before that happens) or hanging in the laundry room to dry (either clean or dirty).

I fold my clothes relatively tiny and stack them vertically in the drawer, like this random internet picture:


They stay together pretty well like that because there's enough tension to keep them in place, plus I can actually see and use all of them. Sports bras and socks go in the relevant bra/sock drawers. Headbands (thick, sweat absorbing ones) go in those drawers too. Sweats and sweatshirts are on my upper closet shelves, I don't have that many of those, and they're not slippery fabric, so it's not a problem to fold and pile them normally.

I don't have as many accessories as you do, and most of my CF stuff is just in my gym bag. I think a couple of bins to corral would be good.

I pretty much have an entire guest room dedicated to my gear. I have a dresser with 5 drawers: 1. Shoes, 2. Gear bag/sunglasses, 3. Bras/underwear/socks, 4. Winter/rain gear, 5. Towels and washcloths. Then I have a small, plastic drawer thing with drawers for: 1. Garmin/HRM and related electronics, 2. headbands, 3. YakTrax, 4. Compression, wraps and first aid and 5.) Nutrition. AND THEN, I keep my shirts and shorts in a large 2-drawer dresser, not really folded, even though I try. I rotate with winter gear that's stored in a tote.

Reading this is making me realize that I have too much stuff for such a simple sport.

I don't do this yet, but I might start... IKEA has hanging scarf organizers. I think they would be great for running shirts and tights.
