I'm sure this gets asked a lot, but I'm not having luck with the search function. So can you recommend an budget app that you love, preferably one that can link DH and I? TIA
I always thought Quicken was the best (its also the one that USAA promotes), but upon further investigation (including this post), I see that it isn't top rated. I think this is the one I am going to purchase and use.

Yes it's easily manageable and easily personalized for your specific budget categories.
It can be hard to set up, but they have tons of tutorials and a live online "class" you can ask questions in. Day to day it's really easy. You do need a desktop computer with Dropbox access though (so I can't do it at work)

The confusion I'm having with it right now is how do I make it start in Eeptemeber? Should I just wait until Wednesday to start tracking?

You can start at any point because you put in as of that day and allocate all of the dollars you have available at that time. Some of which are allocated to savings and some to spend the rest of the month (probably not many this weekend). Then it rolls automatically on Tuesday.
