We finally committed and booked our first family vacation!! In less than 3 weeks we will drive to Reno, NV (normally a 9 hr road trip...very nervous for how long it will take us this time), spend 3 nights with DH's best friend and wife and then drive to Lake Tahoe for another 3 nights before heading home! We both love Reno (actually wanted to move there before we decided to stay close to family) and absolutely love love LOVE Lake Tahoe (we might end up with a vacation property or retiring there)! Excited to go on some of the most beautiful hikes, eat good food, relax, create memories with my two boys, and see good friends!
This morning I was on my way to do laundry when I met a giant, mean (presumably) spider on the wall. I turned right around and got my H. There was no way I could be down there while that thing lived. Thankfully H killed it promptly and now my heart rate has returned to normal. I hate spiders.
amaranth That sounds like one of those "burn the house down" spiders! iccccck! I can't stand them. I found one outside of the house and was SO relieved it wasn't inside! (Of course, neither of us would burn the house down anyway...but you get my point! Those things make me skeered! LOL
After a brief burst of productivity this morning, I have done basically nothing other than place an Amazon order to start my Xmas shopping. I need to step it up in the work dept.
Related: if you're looking to fill some time, the infant on a jetski thread on ML was a good read!
amaranth It's the opposite in my house. H makes me take care of most of the creatures that get in. Ever since he had a huge centipede crawl down his t-shirt sleeve, he doesn't handle them well. My dog will hunt down flies and then spit them out, leaving me to dispose of the carcass. She is no help when it comes to centipedes. For some reason we get tons of those...anyway, she just barks at them and waits until someone does something about it.
I can not deal with spiders either. When I was 19 I stayed at my parents' house over the summer and I called my dad to the basement at like 3 am to come kill a spider for me He just rolled his eyes, killed it, and went back to bed. H is our resident spider killer.
It has FINALLY cooled down a bit. I'm so excited to take the creatures for a walk without fearing for my life (perhaps a slight exaggeration... I don't like the heat!).
My friend stood me up for lunch No text back either to check and see if we were still on. Oh, well. I'm sure something happened with her phone or schedule so it's fine. But still I'm now hangry and wanting chips instead of my healthy lunch...grrr
ewall- I'm impressed on the early Christmas shopping!
I haven't been able to get motivated today. I finally just started working on my resume, which I wouldn't call a great use of time since I'm not currently job seeking. I figure it's more productive than reading news sites, which is how I spent my morning.
I just got done cleaning our spare room for my mom to stay this week. I still need to do housework but I am so sore from the weekend. I also need to do my coupons some time today. It was like Christmas yesterday when I opened our newspaper and there was extra coupon books!
I'm so flustered right now. I spent all day fixing my classroom and getting ready for tomorrow. I decided to check my grad school email. Imagine my shock when I realized classes start today! I thought they started next week. I've got a small assignment due tonight. I really need to find a better way to get organized.

I want to get back to couponing. I had such a large overstock of things so I've been working through them. I've been using Amazon as needed now but I miss couponing!

Over the weekend my husband said to me thank god I don't really look around when I go into the bathroom because when he sat down on the toilet he looked over and in between the tank and the wall was a giant daddy long legs. If had seen that I think I would have passed out.
I'm trying to decide if I need to POAS. It started last week with severe nausea, then came the spotting, then the lower GI unhappiness, then the bladder pain, and now the nausea is coming back...
I know that the answer is to drag my ass to the store, but I keep hoping that I'll magically start feeling better so I won't have to waste my money just to calm my anxiety.

Given your circumstances and the extra anxiety, I'd pay the $5 for peace of mind! It will be worth it when you want to sleep.
Has your GI specialist been able to give you any feedback on this outbreak?
amaranth - Test was a BFN, so I'm assuming this flare up is related to the spotting.
TMI: I get really, really sick leading up to my period, so I take BC in an attempt to stop my periods from happening. This is my first one since February so the BC is doing a decent job of limiting them, but apparently it's not helping at all with how sick I get leading up to them. I'm thinking I need to reach out to my GYN to see if there is anything else she can do, because this is miserable.
