i spent 4.5 hours in the er today with one of my production workers - she got hit just above the eye with a bungee cord while packing up material. i've never seen anyone get stitches, so that was interesting. the people watching was also interesting.
it's felt like fall the last few days and i love it! we've had the windows open and it feels so nice to get a fresh breeze through the house.

I went back to work on Friday. I'm not exactly sure I was supposed to because I had surgery less than 2 weeks ago and am not allowed to drive, but I had a note for Friday. I went to the doctor today and he's very pleased with my healing.
Friday was rough and I took a four hour nap when I got home, but today is much better. Students start Wednesday and I will only have one class. I will go down to Kindergarten for crowd control, but I think I'm easing in well.
My H needs to take a nap or something because he's acting as crabby as the kids when they're overtired. I kid you not, he just held up a piece of paper I gave him weeks ago with three of those grocery loyalty cards attached to it and asked me, "Do you have one of these? I don't have one of these." I said yes, I have one. He demanded to know what the number was (which, WTF, no I am not getting out of my comfortable chair to give you the number of my stupid grocery store loyalty card), and then claimed I never gave him one when I got mine. Apparently me GIVING HIM THE PAPER WITH THE OTHER CARDS ATTACHED TO IT was not actually giving him a card. So now he's mad.
It's times like these when I wish I could send him back to work the way I send the kids to their rooms.
Anytime my h gets pissy I tell him to go back to work. Lol.
We camped this weekend and I'm greasy and I smell like campfire and I just want to take a shower but dd is taking the longest bath everrrr. Quit messing around, kid!
I'm so ready to get back on a regular schedule. Between moving, DD's birthday (2 birthday parties because my family are jerks) and getting both kids ready for school, all in the last 3 weeks I'm cooked. H has been working 50 hour weeks and doing school, when he gets home. We are both exhausted and cranky.

It's 3 am here in Italy. We landed safe yesterday and after a nap spent a beautiful, but rainy, day walking around Como. The cathedral here is like nothing I've ever seen.
I'm up at 3 am after being woken up by three seperate charlie horses in my calf since 11 pm. Blargh. I guess I'm not drinking enough water.

I know this is a zombie thread and all, but my random is car-related so I figured this is a worthy place for it. My son is just learning to drive. I know, I know, he's not supposed to know how to drive yet but OMG I cannot be in a car with him. He refuses to practice with my though, because I "gasp." So my poor brother is taking him on some local back roads right now. I want to hide in the basement. Once he has a couple of hours with his uncle maybe I'll be gasp-resistant.
