I haven't been really participating because I didn't get my Fitbit until the 5th, and then I was on my deathbed for about a week. I've been doing well since I've not been so sick though!
I have a few questions for fitbit veterans:
1. How long did it take for you to notice weightloss (if you have lost weight)?
2. Do you know approximately what your daily steps average was before you started using the fitbit and walking more? I guess I'm wondering how many steps people have been adding in general.
3. My average day, without doing any extra walking, is about 6000-7000 steps. My current goal is 10,000 steps. Do you think I need to increase my goal since I was already getting close-ish to 10k anyway?

I started back at work today and am only at 5k. I plan to work out after the kids go to bed and hopefully make my goal.
I started out at 7k average and am at 11k daily average. The challenge has for sure helped me. I work an office job and when I first got my Fitbit I was averaging 3k a day. Having the Fitbit keeps me more mindful and has for sure upped my steps.

I'm at 293,671 so far for the month. My daily goal is 13,000. I didn't hit my goal yesterday but I had my fitbit off for a little while yesterday while it charged.
I was just telling my friend how motivating it is to have the challenges and stuff. I went bike riding yesterday and worked at the sanctuary...and instill needed 2500 steps so I went out and ran another 1.5 miles. I never would have done that without the 10,000 step goal.

I haven't lost weight (I don't think, I don't weigh myself very often). I've had my Fitbit for 1.5 years.
My avg steps are at 16k right now. Sometimes it's closer to 12k. I was actually probably doing more steps overall before I got my Fitbit because I had more time to do long runs several times per week. Now I only have time for 2-3 mile runs a few times per week. I do take the stairs more often than I used to.

I am closing in on a full 3 months of at least 10k/ day (8/30) so far this month-- 368,522 steps <)
I have only lost 10 pounds in the 3 months (not just from walking- doing WW too) but so many people have commented on my weight loss so while I haven't actually lost too much it has made a difference in how I look. I do get the majority of my steps through actual exercise though, I only get 2-3k at most from regular daily activity, so I am walking 3-4 miles 4-5 days a week at a pretty fast clip.

Oh yeah! Weight loss. I've definitely lost weight and inches. I don't weigh myself as I don't own a scale but I can tell through my clothes. Especially in the last month but i also lift weights and workout aside from runs.
I'm at 293,290 steps for the month, an average of 12,220 per day. I made up for some lost steps over the weekend while we were camping - over 30k on Saturday!
I haven't lost weight from using the Fitbit, but it motivates me to keep moving - either taking walks over lunch breaks or getting to the gym for zumba. Unfortunately, I've done a really poor job of watching what I eat, so mostly I've been gaining this year :/

Still going strong! 28 for 28. I'm averaging 12,279 a day. I've had a several days where I've gotten 18 to 19k but then days where I struggled just to get to 10k right before bed. 343,863 for the month.

I'm at 297,672 so far for the month. I'm just a hair shy of 10k daily average. I'll have to do more than 10k tomorrow to be successful. I'm pretty sure I'll finish- I'm too competitive to fail.
