DH has his meeting today. Let's hope they don't move it again.
He came home with insurance pre-enrollment stuff last night. They are switching our dental coverage, which actually puts us in network with our dentist (woot!) but health insurance premiums, deductibles, and copays are all going up. Boo! For an individual 2 years ago deductible was $750, then $1000 this year, and now being raised to $1500! Ugh! (our new year starts 10/1)
That sucks about the insurance. I am dreading getting our renewal info because I'm so afraid of it increasing. I hit my OOP max this year and probably will again next year too so I really don't want it to go up.

Good luck Mr. bk1! Hope your DH's presentation goes well today! Sorry to hear about the insurance premiums
Another hot and humid day here. We are off to story time at the library in a little while. Already did our morning nap. Not sure what else is in store for today except a quick stop at the grocery store and making dinner. I'm so so over this weather and so far there are no decent days in the forecast.
Yeah I've been staring at insurance for the last hour. I need to decide if I want to stay on our PPO plan or look into one of the other plans offered.
To stay with our PPO plan we have had the cost has increased to $597.83 a month. Ugh. Insurance is so expensive!
The HRA or HSA plans are so tempting because they are so much cheaper but we usually use our insurance. This last year with G of course (we paid about $1000 total for having her. I had met $600 out of my $1000 deductible before having her) and the last few years before that DH had ER visits, specialists, scans, etc. that really would have screwed us without our good insurance.
So basically I know I should stay with PPO but damn that is expensive. Can't help it, I'm the overly cautious type.
I forgot we were doing a team outing today with my department. Well, I actually thought the short activity we did earlier was going to be it because I saw that before I left yesterday but didn't see anything else until today. So we're going out for darts and drinks after work! Should be fun!
bk1 We have used a HRA for the past 3 or 4 years and I love it! I haven't paid OOP for anything in years, lol. Not sure how your plan is set up so HRA may not work out for you. And we normally don't have any expenses so that helps. I think DS's delivery was $17k or something ridiculous; we paid $0 OOP. All of my prenatal care was total $100 OOP. ER visit was covered by the HRA. Well baby checks and immunizations don't count toward our HRA balance because they are considered preventative.
@moonbeam I really need a second Swiffer, one for upstairs and one for downstairs. I can't bring myself to buy another piece of plastic. But I would use it all the time. I'm so torn. I need to get off my environmental high horse and buy the damn thing.

DD # 1 is always comparing hand sizes with me. what ever "oooh look mom my hand is almost as big as yours blahblahblah" well directly after that conversation yesterday she asked to play one of her games. We keep them up high in the hall closet. I told her go a head get a chair and get one down. What ever you pick we'll play. So she gets this game down all by her self and she's all proud. "look mom I did it all by myself. something something something. If you ever you need a little hand job you know you can count on me!" I fucking lost it. . I almost corrected her and told her not to say stuff like "little hand job" but then I stopped because well it was pure innocence, and I didn't want to explain why she shouldn't say that.
