I have a dr appointment today I think I am going to have my first internal to see where I am
My father in law was supposed to watch the boys on our way to the hospital bc he has the most flexible schedule but told Mh he is going to Florida Sunday returning Wednesday I have no idea what we will do with k and m if s arrives during the work week
Ugh why am I up so early!? I have to work 8am-10pm today. I foresee a lot of coffee in my imminent future. A has his procedure done tomorrow, and will be put under general anesthesia. I can't stop thinking about it, half because he is going under, and half because this poor kid can't have anything to eat or drink from midnight until after his surgery at 10am. THAT should be super awesome to deal with.

Today's the second day of school and the first regular day, where we have some content and we switch classes. Last night Abby wasn't feeling well when I picked her up at day care, and I think she has a fever, so I'm pretty sure DH will be either working from home or taking a sick day today. I've started getting up at 5:30 so I can leave in time to beat the traffic and Caleb's not used to it, so the last 2 days, he's woken up with me. When we suggest he go back up stairs, he gets into a total screaming fit. This morning, it was complete with running around hitting the wall. I compromised and said he could stay down here, but he had to lay on the couch with a blanket. I hoped he'd fall asleep, but no such luck. I hope this doesn't turn into a regular thing, especially since he didn't fall asleep until 9:30 last night.

I missed this! What is he having done?
It's nothing super scary, thank goodness! He has a monster cavity in his molar that needs to be taken care of. It's called a pulpotomy I think? The dentist said sometimes kids get cavities that from a damaged tooth pulp that go undetected for a while. He thinks he ate something hard and part of the tooth broke and now the cavity is exposed. But because he's so little and squirmy they need to put him under to take care of it, and also do a thorough check of his other teeth to make sure everything else is ok.
Not much happening for me I'll be staying tonight since H was born so late last night. Dh is going to eat, then go home and relive our sitter from J. Kids are allowed to visit after 12, so they'll come back so he can meet his brother, and then I'll be spending the night alone at the hospital with H. Which is different, but not horrible. Breakfast is on its way up and I am.so.excited. I ate some toast yesterday morning at 7 am, and had a lunch able this morning at 3 am. That's it. I'm starving!
I hope it goes well unclejesse. I remember being worried about the whole no eating thing with Emerson, too. She did surprisingly well. I hope A does too.
I'm the only one up right now which is oddly late for Lillian to still be sleeping. I've gotta pee or else I would go back to sleep. Too lazy to get up though.
Lexi is having a meltdown bc I won't put her cup on the coffee table for her. She is sitting on the couch, less than a foot away from said coffee table, and I'm in my room. It's going to be one of those days.
I made DH some shredded honey mustard chicken thingy in the crock pot last night. He forgot to put away the leftovers. (Always his responsibility. He portions it out into serving sizes and freezes it) This morning, he tried to do it. I told him he absolutely wasn't about to put away meat that has been sitting on the kitchen counter all night. He argued that it'd PROBABLY be fine. So I grabbed dish soap and squirted it into the dish. He got pissed about me "wasting food." So I've been googling food safety articles and sending them to him.

I have an orthopedic knee appt today for both of my knees. They grind SO BAD when ever I walk down/up stairs or do any sort of squat-type exercise. I hope he can somehow fix this. The doctor I am seeing has an impressive background.
I also totally forgot about the appt when I was getting dressed and Im wearing tight skinny pants and cant pull them up over my knee. Do they make you undress for such an appt? Why am I overthinking this?

I saw an orthopedist and they had me put on paper short type things. Good luck!

I went to the beach with two of my girlfriends and their extended families yesterday. I was sort of dreading it because of packing and hauling all the stuff and chasing both girls, but everyone helped and we had such a great time. I needed that.

I am at the dr waiting for my glucose test. That drink is so vile that I almost vomited while trying to choke it down. My children thought it was hysterical.

LOL, quick thinking muppet! You are the one who should be pissed at the wasted food, not him.
Violet started walking yesterday. Adorable, but gives me feelings.
I'm meeting up with a good friend and her two kids at a Rail car museum today. Hopefully Owen is good and Violet naps.
H is having his initial meet and greet meeting with our family doctor today. He's going to be asking about the big V. I need to get right with being two and through.
A has been losing her shit over everything all week. I'm worn out from it. I need some child free time. This morning she freaked out about the shoes I put on her. She wanted to wear them last night, but this morning, even the sight of them made her ragey. She took them off her feet and threw them across the room, while screaming and crying at me. I think she ended up eating peanut butter mini oroes for breakfast. I had given up and let DH take over by then.
I called as talked with Owen's daycare about when he's going full time. I go back to work Oct 5, but because of the start of the school year he starts there full time Sept 8. In the next room up. My baby. I can't believe I only have a week and a half left with him!
My mom is watching Henry during Ada's preschool. Unfortunately I am doing nothing fun because I have a ton of errands I need to run. But errands without kids, yes!
My mom gave me a piece of roadmap fabric - it has roads, buildings, and people on it. I very badly attached a piece of muslin to the back so that Benjamin has a new nap blanket. I figure if he doesn't sleep at daycare at least he can keep himself entertained with his blanket.
