Last night we watched Interstellar. All in all I thought it was Contact: Reloaded, but I did think Matthew McConaughey did a really good job. I like him better in serious roles like this. The special effects were cool, and they obviously put a great deal of effort into making this movie. I felt a lot more for the characters than those in Gravity. It was definitely a tearjerker in certain parts. The ending sort of seemed like a cop-out, though. It felt like a giant plot hole considering how much explanation they put into everything else.
Tonight someone is coming to look at a table I have been trying to sell for months. I am so sick of it being in my house and desperately hope she buys it!
Selling things can get so frustrating sometimes, but I hate putting nice things on the curb.

I'm amazed at how many people run red lights. As in, it's already red before they even get to the intersection and they go through anyway. I hate people who think rules (or in this case laws) don't apply to them.

This is one of my bigger driving pet peeves because it is SO dangerous. I get really angry when I see someone run a clear red.

I know, I cringe every time. WTF, people die that way.

HoneySpider I hate that too. My other big pet peeve is cars passing the school bus. That shit makes me so mad.
My random: I'm so sleepy, I don't know why I slept ok last night. I'm in for a nice long 10 hour shift at work. Fun stuff * gulps Coffee*
Oh Funny story. I was in my work shop last night. It is in the basement with one tiny street leval window. I always keep the window open because I work with a lot of spray paint. Any how the kids were asleep DH was at work. I was down there doing my thing. Dh comes home with out me knowing, walks up to the window and blows the loudest raspberry Through the open window. I jumped 10 feet out of my skin with a string of swear words to follow and I hear him outside cackling. NOT FUNNY HUSBAND.
So scary HoneySpider. I just don't get it...is it really worth the couple minutes you save taking such a huge risk?
tacocat- Yum!!! Now I want Chik Fil A...we don't have one anywhere near us but did close to work and I loved when they had free breakfast every day for a week (this happened quite a few times and it was extra amazing when I was pg and hungry all.the.time).
bk1- Enjoy your time with your DH! So jealous...DH and I desparately need some good quality time (things are fine between us but we haven't been on a date in nearly two months).
Another hot day today (I know, broken record!). C was a tantrum mess yesterday. Maybe more teeth but I'm hoping today isn't as bad. Anyways, we went for a walk this morning and will either walk or hang in the yard once he wakes up (maybe I can get some stuff done before it's too hot). Super excited that my milk storage container is finally arriving today so I can setup pickup and donate my freezer full of milk! Finally, it's our Friday here!! DH is off tomorrow and we will likely go hiking in the morning!
luv2rn4fun I love when they do free breakfast week! DS has been a grumpy mess this week too. I know it's because of teeth. The top two are so close to coming in.

((hugs)) Teeth can suck it! C has 6 that broke through all at once about 2-3 weeks ago. I can't see any new ones but have been asked if he's working on his molars (which I can't see anything and I don't think they normally come in this early). Last week was really bad and we almost skipped going to my parents but decided to go...he did great there (even napped really well!) but is back to being a mess. Not sure what his problem is...thought we had a little longer til tantrums started but I guess not! Good thing he's cute and easily distracted! Hope your DS feels better soon! Are these his first teeth or has he already gotten his bottom? Oh, and C's top teeth took like 6 weeks to pop through the gums (pedi said they were so close/any day now...came through 6 wks later)...hope your DS's come in much faster!
luv2rn4fun We get to sneak in lunches which helps. We don't do evening dates right now because no one but us have put G to bed. Every little bit helps!
I'm waiting to see if my mom gets discharged from the hospital today so I can go pick her up. It's a 90 minute drive one way so she doesn't want me driving down there for nothing. Hopefully I will hear from her soon.

We are scheduled to close on our house one week from today. I'm excited, but completely freaking out. We had to borrow money from my mom. Last night I luckily checked the bank account while we were grocery shopping and thought our daycare payment came out already. Nope, it hadn't. We didn't have enough in there for when that check cleared. So my mom transferred some money over and we don't have much left until H gets paid. I'm just having PB&Js for lunch and I'm going to start planning really cheap meals. I'm so frustrated and overwhelmed. All I want to do is run away from it all and although E probably wouldn't notice or care if I wasn't there, I'd miss him too much. H has been talking to a friend to get me some recommendations for counseling. I need some major help right now
estrellita I hope things calm down soon. Waiting for closing is so frustrating!
luv2rn4fun He has his bottom two. Based on how long those took, I would say we have another week or two before they pop through. So far he has still slept pretty good at night with Tylenol, otherwise I might go insane. DS is also starting to throw little fits mostly when you take away something he shouldn't be playing with. Right now I still find it a little funny.
((estrellita)) I'm sorry you're struggling. Financial stress is so overwhelming. I hope you get some help soon and feel much better. Things will get better.
My baby sister (6 years younger than me) just closed on her first house. She bought it all by her lonesome. I'm so proud and feel so old. She's a big girl now!

Our dishwasher broke AGAIN. It was new when we moved in (Nov), broke in April, was fixed, but basically the part was bad from the start so it was supposed to be replaced. Repair guy came and was supposed to order the part but we never heard anything again and since it's been working, we didn't ask the property manager about it. Now it's broken again and the PM is of course on vacation this week. There is a backup guy from another building to call but given the history here, I'm not sure if it's worth it and might be better to just wait for our guy since he knows what's going on (he's actually the one who fixed it).
Meanwhile, I have a dishwasher of dirty dishes and standing water. Ugh. This is indicative of my week though, it's been a rough one.

I love when women are independent and do things like buy their own homes.
Well, that didn't take long. Looks like my vacation time is cancelled.
Wtf? Why? I thought they approved it weeks ago.
I got the time approved last week, but I was just in a meeting where we scheduled a multi-day event during the week I currently have scheduled off.
I haven't followed up with my boss yet, but I know that I need to be there so I'm going to have to cancel my time off. Hopefully I can just postpone it and take the next week off instead, but I'll have to look at my calendar.
katespade CRAP, I'm sorry I hope it works out either way. In the meantime, I found this for you...it won't make up for the crappy timing. But it's Tom Hardy lip syncing with his shirt off...in several videos.
@luv2run4fun I hear you on the baby tantrums/teething misery. B has started throwing tantrums when I wont nurse her (trying to wean to just morning and bedtime) and I have to try hard not to laugh at her throwing herself on the floor because it is partly humorous. She has 6 teeth but I think the bottom incisors are coming out this week...she's been back to MOTN antics again all week School starts again next week so this is not very good timing.
@estrellita Of course E would notice and care if you weren't around. You are his mom and he loves and needs you very much! I hope that you find someone to help soon, but in the meantime I'm here if you need to talk.
I have about a million things I should be doing. I'm angry because my H is refusing to use the grocery delivery service to shop for all the food for B's party. He claims he will go food shopping himself but the party is in two days and I need to start doing things now! Knowing him, he will go Friday night and then act like its no big deal to throw together food for 50 people Saturday morning before the party. Good thing my parents will be here early on Saturday because I will need their help for sure!

HUGE ((hugs)) estrellita. Hope you get some help soon...E would miss you terribly. Sorry you are so stressed about money...you are a good mom and I hope things look up soon. We're here for you.
katespade- Hope you can take your vacation soon. Sorry you are having to postpone/cancel it
Blue Moon- ((hugs)) Hope B starts sleeping better and feeling better! Also hope that your DH realizes that you need to get on food/party prep sooner than later and that he steps up and helps you a ton! Can't believe B is already 1- that went by really fast! Hope you have a blast at her party! And good luck weaning...so dreading that process- he's kind of attached to his boobies!
